Notice that they've officially changed the # to TFX-04B (instead of "BC") and changed the name to "Shadow Scythe" (instead of "Scyther").

 

Interesting that this appears to be on track for release BEFORE the Protector armor.

 

So what about the regular version?

 

I would expect the cost for this to cover the tooling they had to make for just the new scythe weapon and "evil" face.

 

Yeah, I grabbed one off TFSource the day it went up on preorder. Don't have SG Rodimus or Wildrider (well, had Wildrider, but sold him for various reasons last year), but I think the set will look decent on either Classics or Henkei Rodimus (red on black looks pretty swanky) and if not I'm sure I can eventually hunt down Wildrider... sorry, but I just can't bring myself to pay what SG Rodimus goes for on the aftermarket.

I should have never gotten rid of my SG Rodimus.

 

Pretty much my thoughts except with Wildrider.

Ordered him from RK. Chances are I'm not going to be getting another Wildrider (unless I luck out when I go to Tokyo) or SG Rodimus, so my 2 more viable options are either dying my extra Rodmus black or seeing how it looks on a regular Rodimus. If nothing works out, then there's always eBay since the value will at worst stay the same.

That's an interesting question but the only way to be feeling pretty secure right now is to have jumped on this when the preorder first went up on TFSource. It's just one of those things.

 

well, I would be really ticked if RK didn't even return my money or something if they flunk on preorder, but their history is pretty good, from researching their reviews.

 

I've never personally ordered from them before but I have a couple of boys that have and they have nothing but good things to say about them.

 

Its alright but for now I'll pass on this... but I plan on getting the protector though, it's on the "TF things to get" list. Let see.

I don't think and I hope that RK has not allocated more then 300. My analysis just showed that based on what we know the numbers don't add up. But there's always a lot of things we don't know that could explain everything. I've always had good dealings with RK in the past.

 

I hope some customizers here can buy a good amount of classics Hot Rod and dye him to his SG color and sell it. I don't trust dyeing it myself.
