Has anyone tried the Reprolabels set for this to tie together the BiS Rod and the Protector colors? Does it work well or am I just better off getting a Classics Rodimus?

Okay, so I finally broke down and bought the armor set and Sidearm, not really liking the pictures of it, but thinking get it now while it's easily/cheaply available and sell it later if I really don't like it.

I gotta say, all of the pictures of this guy do not do him any justice. He is way better in person that I've seen in any image.

Sidearm kicks ass, but I already kinda figured that. Now I want more target masters. (Aside from Blessor, that is. Like new designs and stuff.)

Hopefully someone can add some pics of the Protector Armour with the new United Rodimus in the Armour and in vehicle mode.

I have Sidearm, without Protector too. Sidearm plus RtS Rodimus makes for a pretty sweet target master homage.

Sorry DrTraveler for being a couple days late. Here are the best shots I could come up with on limited technology. Overall the robot mode looks pretty decent in the armor. The red doesn't match exactly but it's not that noticeable. The yellow fins obviously don't match but many people who own this set don't like the look of them and leave them off anyway. In vehicle mode he looks great. Out of the Classics, Henkei, RtS and United versions of the mold, I like the United in the trailer the best. The side flames on the front just really seem to scream Rodimus Prime to me.
However, I prefer to leave the Henkei version in there overall. The gold chrome matches better. Plus I like the deco of the United version the best so it's a shame to cover it up in all those armor pieces. The deco is not exactly Rodimus Prime, but it is '86 animated movie all the way, in which both Hot Rod and Roddy had the exact same color scheme.

Just got this set after years of coveting it. It takes a bit of getting used to the articulation, but once you do -- it's awesome.

If you like Rodimus this is a must-buy.

I've just purchased a second hand TFX-04 Protector Armour kit secondhand off eBay (I know I'm late to the party!). The item is in great condition, the parts are sturdy and tight, but I'm finding a few things aren't fitting together all that well when Rodimus is in vehicle mode: namely the rear wheel pieces. They don't fit snugly - particularly at the top. The majority of images I see online indicate that it isn't normal. I was interested to hear if anyone else was experiencing the same symptoms with theirs! I could post photos, I just need to post a few more times...

Have you got some pics that you can show? I'm having some trouble attaching the boots in Winnebago mode!

I have 2 Protectors and 2 hot rods, and the boots don't stay on in either combo. I use a little tape to have them stay on in my display

Thanks DocSeth81, appreciate the swift reply! I was reading last night about the boots in bot mode not sticking... But am I hearing you correctly that you use tape when Protector is in vehicle mode?

Thanks process... Totally understand that I'm a few years late to all this. I was interested to hear if anyone had some tips for assembling Protector's boots in the vehicle mode. Mine seem to spring out and not fit as perfectly as when maybe originally packaged (mine's 2nd hand) or in the video reviews I've seen on YouTube. I've been searching for a posting or video and haven't found anything as yet!
