It's more about preference. Some people just don't like that the cowl can't be tucked in cleanly.

Now that they’re all out there, maybe we could get a weapon pack! I’d pay a good chuck for all the weapon masters and other gear from these sets. No interest in the actual bots tho, just their gear.

Well; it's easily the most polarizing part of the figure in terms of influencing fans' aesthetic opinion.

I could've sworn I'd seen a picture of the "fix" that didn't have the back kibble sticking nearly as far out in the back.

After my post I went back to screw around more

Due to the double hinge on the cowl, u can actually fold nearly half of it away info the empty torso, for even cleaner look

That leaves just the tail portions, which as the pix show, can be configured almost any way u want. The tail is on a regular hinge and a rotational joint. The mass limits it a bit, but oscar showed how it can go diff ways

I am out of town and can't take more pix for a bit, but check the first post by daimchoc. It shows what I'm talking about

I've postponed purchasing this at this point...
Waiting on your product review for this one, Kuma.
If you could focus on the options/alternatives to angling the back kibble so it'll appear neater and more in keeping with the cartoon images (instead of the ridiculous head piece) that'll be much appreciated.
    Thanks mate.

    Thanks so much for this!

I'm in the boat of really questioning the reason of having that middle plate there. Looks stable enough with just have independent tail hinges. Not sure why they couldn't have them separate.

I not sure I'm going to saw off the plate though. Unscrewing I'm ok with but it's a mental thing when I change the figure to the point of no return....

What I don't understand is, this guy was delayed delayed delayed, allegedly to redesign some things, and yet they come back with this weird back and hollow torso nonsense. It's like they just stopped trying at some point. The "hood" is just ridiculous. And I remember reading that when the pictures of this guy first came up and people asked about it, it was confirmed that it could collapse down for a non umbrella head look, but the actual fold down for it, just means it is sticking straight out of his back. That's not really an acceptable transformation, imo.

Just weird man, FP got weird.

Just messed with Pinchar a bit. He is cool, there are some things I like and some I dislike... but the backpack is a clusterfuck of epic proportions. I am not a toy designer, but even I see at least 3 ways they could have done it slightly differently and resulted in cleaner/less obtrusive backpack that actually locked. As it is, nothing even locks in the default/FP preferred position with overhead spike plates.

HOWEVER, once I figured out how to set up the backpack configuration I liked the best (this one: Fansproject Lost-Exo Realm LER-07 Pinchar (Snarl) ) I am not that bothered. Yes, it could have been a billion times better, but no, in practice, it doesn't detract that much.

Aaaand I just broke him during transformation back to dino mode. Ratchet in the front dino leg was too tight. Fuck, there goes $115 down the drain. This is the second 3rd party figure to ever break on me.

Haven't FP always been weird? that was part of their appeal. Unlike other companies that are stuck in trying to bring out the figures as close to the IP as possible, FP gave always made quirky design decisions. Sometimes it's a hit, unfortunately other times it's a miss.
