Is it possible that some of these retailers are getting their USD and CAD mixed up?

TCP usuallly has competitive prices but Code/Combes Robin are $100 there, but $70 at CP, plus CP got them first among all US retailers

    something is clearly confused

it can't be different distributors, as I imagine they're all getting FP stock from the same place

Very curious what FP Core sells them for

i go with TCP normally just because they're close to California but not in california so i avoid sales tax

At TFcon it was (all in CAD):

    $80 - Code v2
    $80 - Combes Robin
    $100 - Sixknight
    $120 - Diaclone Volar

The guy from A3U said it was special show pricing though. I'd expect a slight increase on FPcore. And probably no conversion bonus.

I walked out at about $290 USD for all 4 at the show so I'm a happy guy

I don't think anyone is getting it mixed up. I wasn't told if the show pricing was special or not, and they didn't specify the MSRP, so I've kind of got to go with what I know from prior figures in the series. Technically, it's still more than at the show, as the show prices would have come out lower with conversion from CAD, so I'm thinking that would account for being a special price right there.

I did initially have them at $100 and $120, but there's not a lot to support them being those prices, at least IMO. If I had had to order these and get them shipped in, yeah, they would have to be that pricing to work at all (note that the comparable Madlaw and other FX figures are now around those prices pretty much everywhere). But since we all got them straight from the source at the show, the cost works to support much closer to the "original" price of the FX figures when they first came out. So $100 and $120 are valid enough, given that these are special. I am also curious to see what FPCore will charge, though.

Makes sense, esp since no one gave you an official MSRP to go by. It does kind of surprise me though given how companies like to control the pricing.

:lol  in the end it pushed me clear over the fence.

Bought this one and was going to sell it, but.... I decided to open it, and... shit, this is fantastic, in both modes AND goes well with my dino schemes!!!!

Ok, there are some loose joints, which I already fixed the hips with gorilla tape like with Columpio, but, the jet, shit, in person, I really love it, and the bot mode, even with it's limited articulation. The paint detail, absolutely amazing. And again, the jet, ah man, so wanted a futuristic one, and was going to wait for MMC to make their Alpha, but this one just filled the need big time, and for 80$ Canadian, yea!!!!

Oh, and I like to have his guns on the back but backwards facing the sky, and I gave him an MMC Felisaber gun, he can hold it no problem. I put a white with transparent emblem on his window chest, and it looks great.

Thank god I didn't sell this guy, really loving it. And so glad I didn't get the original version, these colors are really my style.

I picked one up from an ebay seller that still has 3 left, listed for $95 and change with free shipping. I don't normally like to go the ebay route for 3p stuff in case there are problems, but I didn't want to wait and see if it actually winds up on fpcore. If it does, well... sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

This is my first Function-X figure, too. Kuma Style's review is what sold me on it. Looking forward to seeing it in person, although delivery timeframe is anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks from now, so I'll have to content myself to wait.

^ I have it, and it is very good indeed, my first headmaster, I love it, and the colors are really amazing. Only thing I had to do is tighten the hip joints via gorilla tape, which took a few minutes. I am glad I never bought the original Robin, this one really goes well in my display.

Thinking I may get more, especially if repaints, down the line, cause this one is turned out real good.

That IS a very good deal, and I'm sort of annoyed I can't cancel the ebay transaction that cost me $10 more. :/

    Someone jump on that, quick!

Forgive me for necroing this thread, but does anyone know a reputable site that still has Combes Robin in stock, and that doesn't require paypal?

I wish we could get Wei Jiang to do the FansProject recolors. Turn their Skullcruncher into Optimus, their Brainstorm into Sonic Bomber, etc.
