More details! Inquiring minds (who have to wait on other items to arrive in their BBTS Piles of Loot) want to know!

    I'll just say 2 things:

-I never expected the thumbs to come from where they come (didn't pay attention to leaked pictures)
-the rear legs don't transform the way you would expect them to

That whole rear section is sick. I'm glad I don't look at instructions or it would have taken all the fun out of figuring it out. Jizai is an inspired genius for sure. I can't wait to see how Smart Robin transforms.

Also I've decided that when I have to say his name out loud, I'm going to pronounce "UUUU" how it looks phonetically, as a wolf howl.

This looks like a kickass figure. I don't need a Weirdwolf, but if these guys make an Apeface it will be tough to resist.

I just wish the back tabbed together better in robot mode. He seems just a tad floppy in that regard.

Damn it. I never had any interests in Headmasters as a kid or now, but this review makes me want FP Wierdwolf...

I have no interest in Head Masters. I especially have no interest in Wierdwolf. But this toy...

Sometimes you just see something and know you have to have it. Here is how much I like this quad U toy: I went and bought Code almost as an accesory for it!

Upon getting the toy in hand, it is actually better than I was expecting. It is hard to put the build quality and materials into words, but everything is clearly a grade or two above mainline transformers. You just want to hold it and move it. It feels good. It moves good. It looks good. Everything about it is crisp.

    A+ from me.

I found a joint that isn't in the instructions and fixes the biggest flaw I could find in wolf mode - his rear legs can extend out at the hips. Just grab each rear leg at the hip and pull.

His front legs can do the same, but I think that's more for robot mode.

^^ I found that when I transformed him. Didn't realise it wasn't a documented step. Good spot for those who will have missed it.

These f(x) toys are great fun to play with.

Loving this guy even more now that I painted the face, haven't had a fansproject release since Protector but this guy is making me want to go look for a Steelcore and Assaulter and Code. Smart Robin is definitely going on my to buy list.

    Here's a review from me:

For starters he looks absolutely great, love his colors and designs in both modes quite a bit. He is far more visually striking than Code because of the colors alone:
They also certainly ramped up the details between the two molds. I never followed Headmasters back in the day but apparently he's suppose to have a red face? Well he has a black one. I think it looks just fine and still suits him nicely. His face sculpt is especially nice.

Feature wise he doesn't have a tonne too him in bot mode, decently posable as deluxes go though like code he's a little limited in order to have Jizais trademark clever transformation incorporated. Though it's nice you can attach his sword to 4 different places, either on the thighs or shoulders.

Quads clever engineering is a torso that can change width and length using 4 double hinge joints that allow the outer panels to move up and down and compact for wolf mode. His shins fold out at the knee and his thighs peg together sideways to form the lower half of the wolf body while his shins unfold, rotate and flip down to make the back wolf legs longer.

I think if I had one minor complaint it would be how they did the robot mode arms. In order to give him a thumb they have these swiveling underarm parts that are a little looser than I'd like and don't really help form a proper looking hand really. So he kind has these odd paw hands with super long thumbs for robot mode. He holds his sword just fine but aesthetically I think it could have been designed better.

An awesome tribute to G1 Weirdwolf and like X1 Code, he has great and innovative Engineering in his transformation. However he also suffers from similar flaws, specially in the somewhat restricted thigh and shoulder articulation. Although the range of motion is greater here.

I've got a Steelcore for sale. Hoping to sell him to generate finds for UUUU.

Anyone have pics of UUUU (and Code) with Steel Core? Are the small robots the same size? I was thinking of putting them all together when they arrive. I just wanted to see size and asthetics.

    PMed and sold!

Edit: thanks to the other thread for having pics of them together..
