Thanks, Venksta. I thought that was the case looking at it, but all the descriptions I keep seeing sites, like BBTS, continue to mention it. Nice to finally get some confirmation.

 

Yup without any modifications, but it is a tight fit. I think I mentioned it in zeroXII's review thread that the rifle can fit it but only at a weird angle. So he'll be holding the rifle but it'll only be pointing at 45 degree angles from his fist.

You could squeeze it in so that he points in straight but you risk either breaking off the handle of the G1 rifle OR having the rifle stuck in death grip forever  

I think if anyone had the know-how on how to "widen" the City Commander fist hole just a tad bit, like Optimist_Prime mentioned, it would then work like a charm

As you can see, it is a simple flip up-down mechanism.

According to the manual, it seems that the Rocket Launcher mode is the "default" mode. In the later pages when UM blasts Pharoahtron in the face, the launcher "flips" down to become the BFG.

For the first time, Onslaught's shield seems ... inadequate.  

 

Actually, I was talking about cutting down the G1 Magnus rifle handle to give the effect of him having a more firm grasp on the rifle or even cutting at an angle so he could hold it a bit straigter. Here's a little kinda what I was thinking, I was able to use your photo as the example:

yeah, early October... Tomorrow is October 1st, which is early October.... they HAD to change the date, unless they could magicly ship it out today. I still honestly expect to get it by middle of next week at the latest.

BTW, I have mine pre-ordered at BBTS too, so I understand the change may have frightened some pople... but imagine if tomorrow came and it still said "September"... You know how many idiots would be screaming "OMG, Not until NEXT September!!!!1111!!!".

Sorry to bring this back, but just a heads up. BBTS has finally listed the City Commander Armor as "In Stock", so they should definately start shipping.

 

Glad to know you folks in the US would be able to get your hands on him soon!  

 

I wasn't interested in this until I saw the comparison pics with Classics Prime and G1 Ultra Magnus. It's MUCH, MUCH better than what I saw in other previous pics.

What's the deal with those exposed springs though? That worries me a bit, especially since this is kind of expensive.

 

*Looks at BBTS's price tag* How much is it in Euros I wonder?
