Shave the tabs down. Halfway will let him stand flatfooted
Not sure if it's been noticed but he comes miss assembled. The upper thighs should be flipped so the screws don't face forward in bot mode.
You can fix it in seconds. Just spread the legs all the way out to the sides, rotate them at the hip 180°, then rotate the legs at the knee another 180°.
No then the vents are on the wrong sides of the thighs. That fix works but diesel doesn't look like it was intended to look.
Huh, I never really noticed a difference. It's close enough for me personally, but I understand how it could bug you.
Edit: When I fixed mine, I didn't rotate it at the knees, but right below the hips, and above the vents.
Is there a button or something to push to release the arm connectors in m3 mode? I wanna take him apart and practice the transformation. Thanks!!
You're absolutely right, your fix works and all modes still fully work. I meant the vent on the upper piece just isn't in the intended place. I was just surprised to see the miss assembly on fans project side. This is now my favorite combiner, I can't wait for the next one fans project does
Finally got Intimidator fully assembled. I had to stop half way last night because after all the fiddling with his combiner connector ports and and stuff my fingers were killing me. Once assembled this guy is GLORIOUS! What an amazing piece of work. Diesel himself is kinda so-so in my book having some questionable design choices and suffering a lot for the combined mode but he's still not bad and makes a fitting compliment to the set.
My sentiments exactly. To me, Diesel seems over-engineered. Its decent but I expected more from FP.
Anybody else have problems with this guy mine came in the other day and was missing a piece from his hand and a part on his shield snapped
Not heard of anyone having those specific issues before. Only common problems seem to be people breaking a few tabs here n there.
Nothing broken on mine though. I think I might have some slightly stressed shoulder tabs but that's about it.
I recall someone complaining about how his rifle can't store on his back also, well all you need to do to make that work is flip around the handle:
Impedes posability a bit but still doable.
Also if no-one else has tried this yet you can combine the rifle to look like a big pistol:
for those of you that also have Mania King, what do you think, get Mania King now, or skip out and save up for M3?
Problem is I can't have both. I like Galvatron much more than the stunticons and Menasor but the price means I'll have to really keep my budget tight this month.
Diesel is by far more worthwhile saving up for. Maniaking in my honest opinion is just ok, not great, just, they made a half decent Galvatron in a time when no-one else has made one and I think he's selling more so out of people desperate for a Galvatron figure than actually being a good figure on his own.
Only buy Diesel if you can get the entire team. He's not that strong of a figure on his own.
I wholeheartedly disagree. Maniaking is a fine figure. An excellent Galvatron. Both he and Diesel are worth buying, but I can only recommend Diesel if the whole set can be obtained.
Got a him last week thought I would share a few pics. He scales well with RTS Optimus Prime and some of the smaller Deluxes. other than the difficult ratchets this guy is amazing and beautiful. Sadly he'll be one of the last 3rd party figures I get this year.
Sorry about the grainy picture took them with my tablet
Diesel and Bt RTS prime look like they where ment to fight each other
Hi, would like to hear about if your Diesel crotch area is having similar slight stressmark as shown below?
Not sure in the future this will become a butt crack?
That's not a part that should be receiving any sort of stress in handling. Looks more like the screw just went in a little wonky.
Yours have this issue?
