Thanks dude. It was far from perfect but I did try to stay as on point as possible.

Thanks Bryce. Super appreciated! The collection, as always, continues!

I think the 4 cars look great. The big mystery is motormaster. I really hope they don't fumble the ball like tfc did on silverbolt.

Hmmm, I'm disappointed that he's not the same size/scale as the other Classics figures. That seems like a big oversight by FP in my book.

Size (or lack thereof) is a bit shocking, but manageable. I actually kind of like him at this scale, to be honest. I guess this just means Menasor won't be going toe-to-toe with TFC's Arielbots, that is unless MM is gigantic.

Which isn't surprising, since FP favours the scale set by their Bruticus upgrades, so it'll fit in better alongside Colossus and Giant, rather than TFC's offerings.

Still find it a little funny that people find the size "shocking", when we had size comparisons immediately upon their reveal.

Well, unlike TFC, FP isn't changing the alt-mode to something super-skinny with no room for a robot inside. :p

Want to hide a robot inside? Get the biggest, boxiest version of a vehicle you can find. Not the skinniest one that's basically 3 tubes connected by flat plates.

honestly he's amazing in hand. the size and scale aren't as jarring as it looks. and the toy is nice and complex to account for it.

as for motormaster and menasor, i am convinced completely that it will not disappoint.

So has anyone figured out a good spot for a bot-mode insignia on this guy? I notice many people already did a G1-style car insignia, but haven't seen any in bot mode yet. If nothing else, TFC really gets the "need" for a flat spot on the chest for such a purpose, while most every other company doesn't from what I've seen. Car Crash has that little spot on his belly, but that'd be a very small insignia more appropriate for a G1-sized limb.

T-Bone/Wildrider is going to have an almost identical issue, but even worse I think---there's NOWHERE flat on his upper torso that I can see. I am considering just going totally G1, and using the ones on his car doors. Yeah, they'd be sideways, but seekers wear theirs upside down and it seems OK to Megatron. :)

And looking ahead---same for Drag Strip. Granted, his G1 self had an "impossible" location for his, but the toon/comic was fairly consistent that it go on his shoulder. But in this case, you'd end up with upside-down ones in car mode in weird places if you went that route.

Sigh, it's almost like FP doesn't want us putting insignia on these guys...

There seems to be a decent flat spot on his stomach for one. For T-Bone, right in the middle of his chest should work. It's not a big deal if you have the place it over the centre ridge.

I worry about that ridge---most repro-stickers etc do not take non-dead-flat surfaces well in my experience. Even gentle curves tend to make them lift up.

However, I was looking at Not-DragStrip wrong, and going with shoulder-mounted ones will in fact be "right-side-up" in vehicle mode. But so tiny they may look weird anyways. Still trying to work things out...

i think that may be best if you're intent on putting a repro on it.

just checked against my white BG decepticon labels and i'm not sure even the smallest one would sit anywhere on the chest area.

Checking Reprolabel's site, their "smallest TF's" symbols are the same as their miniature symbols. Frankly, I generally do not like their mini symbols as the cutting tends to be just off enough that they're usually visibly off-center. (the symbols are just so small that while the border being cut .5mm off isn't an issue for the big symbols, on the little ones that's the thickness of the border itself)
