Way to give it that F-R touch to an already awesome piece. I like that you used some of the DeltaStar Reprolabel queues to convert him into a shuttle instead of a drone, and added the faction symbol. Proof that simple touches work the best sometimes.

The dyrbrushing just makes everything feel chalky and unrealistic. I would have stuck with just the panel lining.

    thanks man.

not this team, but another one is on it's way...soonish

thanks. love the face also. FP puts out some great heads.

he's an AWESOME figure. VERY G1/cartoon accurate. The proportions, articulation, etc - very true to what g1 would be like if it were on TV today..

    thanks man

I like the drone also, but the front looked too plain w/o the windows...

    thanks guys.

for sure. I saw those stickers, they are great.

    go for it ;)

oh no man, don't get me wrong.... I invite constructive criticism, but not the "I would have done it ____ way because it's better" angle. You're sort of asking me to change up my entire style.

Good work, Mike. Nothing wrong with a straight repaint to show up the the factory. I'm sure the commissioners happy. :thumb  People in glass houses...

Didn't do much to it relative to what, exactly?

For such a small piece, it's packing a lot of detail. Just the sword edge alone, or the eyes, or the panel lining, or the washes, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Didn't do much to it? I think some of the people on these sites have grown spoiled.

the link in his sig actually does show he does customs, just not TF. nor do you have to be a customizer to post an opinion (otherwise the whole subforum would just be comments by other customizers)

i myself didnt think the reply was that snarky but from my experience if somebody give a crit youre going to ignore for whatever reason (as is anyones prerogative) taking the high road would be to completely ignore the comment.

    but thats just me.

posting anything would just open up the replies to being misconstrued. even saying 'thanks but no thanks' can offend some ppl (but thats their problem).

Ha... I didn't even get to see his comment before he edited it, so thanks for quoting it. ;)  I love how it's still a passive aggressive jab even after editing.

FR- I didn't mean to say that drybrushing just shouldn't be an option. I guess what I should have said was this dyrbrushing came out chalky. The colors get too close to white, I think, and it makes the drybrushing too stark on the flat surfaces, like the wing surfaces.
