Smartest place to store it would be under the tank hull I'd say. But it could also store inside the jet shield piece if its got enough space inside.

Ok now that the tank and jet are fixed, I am still waiting for the base mode pics. I am 90% convinced, finish the job.

I don't want to be that guy that suggests that what I want from a figure is more important than anyone else, but is the base mode really that important and integral to an Overlord toy? I feel like Double Evil here would have to be much more bricklike and compromised if he tries to fit ramps n' sh*t into it.

Since its a personal matter, I can answer only for me. So the answer for me is yes it is. I gave a huge pass to Carnifex precicely for that reason (and the fact that its not a powermaster).

It is true a base mode is easier to mod than anything else..
Ramps are cheap and easy to make ^^.

When I buy something for 100+ $ I have high threshholds on the things I expect. Having NOT to mod it from the get go is one of them.

True.. but then there is the fun factor of that too. Most of the time beggars can't be choosers in this game.

I beg to differ that with the availability of figures out there, and the fact that I am the customer, I definently am not a beggar. If they want my money they have to earn it.
As for the fun part, I dont dissagree but as I said, never on the get go and never because the designer is lazy.

True, we are the customers but there isn't a lot of competition. I'd prefer it be the way you describe but we wouldn't be here decades later waiting for a masterpiece the way we thought if the designers and the customers met eye to eye.
If the designer thinks enough will buy it the way it is with their budget, time and/or creative liberties they'll have it their way unfortunately. Most of the time the only message we can send is to buy or not buy.

Exactly, therefore we are not beggars but choosers ;)

Unless we really want that G1 base mode and the perfect other modes we see here ^^. ; then I'm on my knees. ^O^
Good time to be a fan/collector if this is all we have to worry about.

Well I havent seen any pics of the base mode yet, so I cant say. But I am 90% convinced already. Yes I am a tough crowd to please, an actual PITA, but what can I say? :p

Indeed, there seems to be options for everyone this time around, so we can nag all we want :p

Agreed. I love my Carnifex so just curious on this one. I would have thought going with that size on the tank that you would have added the ramps and widgets to make it like this. Seemed easy enough. They did improve the figure a lot but I just prefer Carnifex, including the base mode. There was more thought put into it than pushing two tank halves against the jet. FH did do a very good job improving this one from the early renders. If this was the only option it definitely would have my money.

With how hugemungus that nosecone is I'd love to see the tank turret halves on his shins just detach and sunbow their way into his nosecone shoulder dressing or back.
