Random question for those of you who have successfully bred. It's a common statement it seems that young boys don't want female toys.

So I ask those of you with children what they think of Arcee? Obviously I'm slightly more interested in the boy's opinions but I'm not restricting it to that. Would they want her toy with any enthusiasm on indifference?

My nephew who is 9, told me his favorite character was Arcee, and he wants the toy. He said her and Wheeljack.

No kids of my own, but I do have a much younger brother(7). Arcee is one of his favorite characters in the show(second only to Wheeljack, if I'm not mistaken) and he can't wait to get a toy of her.

That's a good sign! I figured Hasbro's not going to have trouble selling her when we hear about boy wanting a toy of Arcee and being a fan!

My daughter LOVES Arcee. She liked G1 Arcee before Prime came out, and Animated Arcee, but now - that blue motorcycle/badass fembot is one of her biggest birthday/Xmas wishes :)

I don't have kids, but I got many second cousins that fill in that void. The boys, they'd never get into the Barbie dolls or frilly stuff, but they liked the heroic type females like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hitgirl, and Mikaela.

Now, for Transformers Prime, I have been watching it, and it's alright, but my kid cousins, who are 5 boys and 2 girls, well, the boys actually hate the new cartoon, and it's mostly because they don't like Arcee or the human girl, but they do love the other Transformers cartoons and the movies. The two girls though, they don't give a rats ass about Transformers, they like Dora and Cars more.

I DO have a 7 yro nephew who enjoyed his TFA Cybertronian Arcee, I think most kids his age don't really get hung up on male or female when it comes to Transformers. As long as the toy 'transforms' then it's cool!!!

So when TFP Arcee does show up on the shelves, I'll buy 2, 1 for me and 1 for him! :D

For me and for him, it's not because she's a femme, it's because she's an Autobot! :thumb

My son wants all transformers toys. He has the Animated Arcee so I think he'll want the Prime Arcee.

However, he does like the Little Mermaid as well....

Can't really speak for others, but Sailor Moon was one of the 1st shows I got into growing up, Catwoman was a staple, and Hexadecimal is still probably my favorite animated character. I was never into Barbies or dolls, but mostly couse they were boring compare to Transformers, cars & action figures, not couse of the gender.

... and yeah, I'll definitely be getting Arcee. :)

My 3 year old son likes all transformers—he's too caught up into the robots being a robot one second and something else the next to worry about whether someone's male or female. He wants every single transformer toy he sees.

My daughter, who recently turned 6, has always been somewhat interested in the Transformers because her old man has the stuff all around the house; however, she became interested on her on with Transformers: Animated—Bumblebee has a way with children. Transformers: Prime, however, has made her much more interested, and I think Arcee has done that all by herself; she's a very strong female character who is more than likeable.

Both of my children have been pretty good about sharing their Transformer toys, both asking for different characters for their Birthdays and Christmas, but this time, however, they both want Arcee.

My little brother, who is nine years old, wants to make sure that deluxe Arcee is one of the first Prime figures he can get a hold of. I like her too, but I'll be going for voyager Optimus myself.
