Folks always going on about 'animation accuracy' - when the animation couldn't stay accurate with itself!!!

    I can't unsee it either…

But this will STILL be my Cyclonus.
And he and I will always share a glance at each other, followed by a slight smile that only we will understand. :lolol

He will be out probably 2019 or 2020, if it takes as long as their first figure

dalianjj probably hired the old FT designer who did all those ugly faces for Perfect Fusion.

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere, but what is the difference between Perfect Fusion and FT's main line? I have Grinder, Phoenix, Apache and soon Sovereign. How does PF-02 fit in?

I think the official line is that they're different designers. There's some speculation that PF is cheaper because they're using cheaper materials or shoddier tolerances, but based on my experience FT's often has some issues with joints and squeaks, and QC issues have popped up even in some of their better stuff, so Cesium is exactly what you get when FT isn't overloading a figure with
diecast, slathering it in paint, and slapping that FT label on the box... a perfectly fine toy, but not necessarily an exceptional one.

It's time we see more shots of this boy, and possibly a release timeframe!

To further clarify, dalianjj has said that FTs is him and some partners, and PF is dalianjj alone with a new designer. That's honestly the most anyone really knows. Everything else is speculation.

It should be further pointed out that the new designer comment may have been specific to Cesium. It is not necessarily true that the same designer is being used for all PF figures, or that the designer for Cesium is still involved with PF. Really the only thing we know is PF is dalianjj's company.

thanks for the update. Seems odd that they would choose this route with Cyclonus.

Well, I don't know if this came across, but I think excessive diecast and paint create more a feeling of quality than actual quality, and I kind of think that FansToys are kind of overrated (not that they're bad, I just don't think they're as far ahead of the competition as people think). My guess is that the truth is what they've always said, and that Perfect Fusion is simply a different designer. They probably set the price to make it more enticing to Scoria owners, and without the FansToys label on the box people were just more aware of the little flaws that, in reality, a lot of FansToys' figures have.

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I think the Perfect Fusion label on this guy simply means it's a different designer than the usual FansToys' stuff. I think any speculation about the quality or price of Quietus and/or whether Perfect Fusion is FT's "budget" line or a dumping ground for figures that don't measure up to some imagined FT standard is only speculation at this point.

I will reserve judgement till we see the finished product. I am not a FansToy fanatic, but so far they are the only 3P I have purchased and have been happy so far. People have also suggested Maketoys Meteor for a seeker, and Graviter as a dinobot and they both look good and have good reviews on QC. I am more about getting the aesthetic and value than being loyal to a brand.
