It looks to be mostly just a function of the shape of that tread layout with the oblong shape to it that is narrower at the front where the force is greatest, which is likely where it's getting hung up since ~twice the surface area of tread is going over that front runner and being pushed against it, vs the spaced upper and lower runners at the back where the force is least during a forward motion. Compare the front tread setup with the oval shape of the rear treads with equal spaced runners at both the front and rear ends allowing the rear tread to glide smoothly. The result is that if you are actually going to sit there any try to push this thing around like a kids toy on the rubber treads vs displaying it, it might not be super responsive to that use case. That said, they have already provided an alternative to allow smooth rolling: flip the chest piece over to engage rollers for smooth running without having to alter the design of the front of the tank to accommodate smoother tread operation at the expense of the visual appearance or the cost (one of those two would have to give if they redesigned it).

I noticed there's a big price drop on this guy. What about early pre-orders? I paid more back when preorder first came out.

I ordered from premiumcollectibles (one of the advertisers here) but their customer service has been hands down the very worst I've ever experienced. I'll be lucky if they even reply to my inquiry.

Ew, I'm sorry. I'd be worried you may never receive your figure, either. If you've not done so already, you may want to check out this thread: Premium Collectibles, Good Bad experiences?

F!@#$%^&* wish I saw this post sooner. I have MANY pre-orders from last year that haven't shipped yet. The money I have spent justifies a trip to Australia.

Safe to say even in an emergency, got my money saved for this guy. Won't be preordering. My nearby place I shop for transformers will get him. So I won't worry about selling out. He may get the DX9 too. One is enough for me

So this is FT's next release? Will it still be sold in separate sets or combined given the price drop?
    Is it coming next week?

As of today, July 26, 2017 TCP's calendar has him slated for August 25. I don't know how reliable that date is but I am intrigued that both Parts A & B are set for the same date. It's speculation but I'm hoping that FT has decided to ship both sets simultaneously instead of spacing them out. It seems possible, given that we've seen both sets boxed, although I suppose they may have simply run a few off for the sake of reviewers. Maybe FT also realized that spacing out the two sets would upset a lot of people, especially in the wake of DX9's Gabriel, so they've changed plans? One can hope.

Yup, Vr2, that's what I've been reading like 5 pages back. I actually went to bestbuy to see what I've been missing only to find out its not even out yet. That's what I get for not doing my homework. Duh on me. Seems, this thing won't be available for years to come. I prolly misunderstood, maybe the talk was about the regular Vr. Come to think of it, it's really too soon to see a PS4 vr2. O well. Anywho, sorry to derail.

Edit: I just re read the comments, I misunderstood a comment that said ps vr 2. the sentence actually said something about buying a PS VR 2 weeks ago. My bad.
