Soar is my favorite one in the set. And I didn't even like Swoop as a kid. All you have to do is pick Soar up and manipulate a couple of his joints and you'll say to yourself "this is what it's all about."

 

My opinion might be biased since Swoop was always my favorite as a kid but that just made me love this figure even more

You're spot on though about that feeling of satisfaction everytime I pick this guy up. I think the added flight stand contributes a lot to the fun factor since it adds a new dimension of accuracy and playability. Since all the dinobots can fly it would have been a bonus if the other FT dibots came with stands and ports to mount them on in bot mode.

Oh ok. It was a local individual selling just one...his copy. I was hoping it was someone who had them in bulk. Oh well. Guess I have to wait until they are available as a mass release. I need about 3 or 4 of them. I'll also need 2 of each of the ones for Scoria and Sever.

 

I wonder why Fanstoys don't setup a full parts ebay store. I'm sure they'd make an absolute packet!

The closest thing is sending an email to FansToys or a PM to dalianjj to order. Sometimes prices are negotiable. I've ordered plenty of Fanstoys parts/accessories that way.

 

Has anyone changed the lower part of the beek? Any need for a pin removal tool?

 

Replying to myself, yep its in there with a pin. Well wont change the lower part now.
FT-05T got gold parts not, looks better to my eye, fits along better with Grimmy and the rest

With the Iron Dibots kind of starting to wind up, and a new head for Grinder on the way...

..any chance of us being able to buy a set of gold parts for FT05T to make it look more like the Proto version of Swoop?

I broke down and decided to pick up a set of the X Dibots to complement my 2 sets of Toy Dibots...a sickness, I know. So far I just have Sever X and Soar X, but wow, do they look great. The only issue is, I can't decided on using the clear beak or the gold beak for Soar.

 

Nice work. Just wait til you get Stomp X. Pièce de résistance.

 

Red Soar looks better and matches the other FT dinos when he has gold chrome parts instead of the red chrome. I customized mine just like that and wow what a difference.

 

Yep that was my reasoning as well. Kinda liked it with the smoked beek but it just doesnt fit in with the rest without gold parts.
Cheap upgrade (thanks to FT) and a huge difference. Very happy.

 

How were you able to do that without having to buy Sear with the blue chest? Or did you?

 

For me I PM'd (you can also send a regular email) dalianjj the fanstoys rep with a list of the gold parts I needed.

 

Did the same as ChromeMagnus mentioned, I PM'd dalianjj and requested to buy the gold parts separately.
Note that the lower beek needs a pin extractor to change it, otherwise the switches are very simple to do.
Also, I had the gold diecast thigh pieces with Grinder, so made sense to get the gold claws as well
