What problem do the shoulder ratchets address?

Did any versions of Scoria like the Diaclone one include them stock?

@STRANGE - after some time, the ratchets become extremely loose. Not even nail polish (which is my go-to tightener) could help tighten it up. Had to get the actual part replaced. Or if your unit is still good, I suggest making a mold of it so you can make one yourself if it ever came to it.

unfortunately, none of the subsequent releases ever came with the new part.

Mine gave way about 3-4 months ago and finding a replacement online was near impossible. I sent an email to dalianjj asking about it and hoping they still had a few to spare.

Took a while but he was able to find 1 from the factory. Couldn't believe my luck.

Learned from that mistake and have made a cast of the new part just in case I need it again in the future.

By any chance, if I ever needed a new part, would you be open to making and selling one?

Sure. No problem man. happy to help the community.

Though I would suggest you hit up dalianjj first via email. never even expected him to find any stock of it as the part was apparently made a year ago, but find one he did.

    Nothing beats the original. :)

But if they're all out, I'm more than glad to assist.

Just cover the postage and the mould material. Dalianjj was gracious enough to send me this hard to find part at no cost, so It wouldn't be fair to him or FT if I actually charged for it.;)

Scoria got here a few days ago. I've been so busy, I haven't had the time to post about him. I'm pleased to say his arm-ratchets are fine, along with his jaw. This guy also had the Reprolabels set already, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this guy. Also, on a different note, how long does it usually take for a set of Reprolabels to get to me after they mark it as "shipped"?

I'm picking up the Grinder and Sever to start my Dibots. Do you think they'll reissue the other 3 again?

They’ll likely reissue Stomp this year. As for Scoria and Soar, I’d follow those searches on eBay, in hopes of finding loose ones.

    Ebay:
Took two weeks for my last shipment to arrive after being marked shipped. However, my package had stages in it. Customs is slow this time of the year.

I usually only pick up 4 or 5 Masterpiece figs a year so I'm patient. I see they've reissued them before so maybe again down the road. I'll definitely check ebay and the like as well though.

If anyone has a spare left hand for Scoria I'll buy it from you. Mine has suffered a broken middle finger from my last transformation. I messaged @dalianjj a couple weeks ago for a replacement but haven't gotten a response.

    Ebay:
    Try [email protected]

I tried using PM for dalianjj and got no response; he probably gets too many messages though here. He responded when I used the above email.

I still prefer Scoria over Caesium. I think his clunky proportions add to his retro dinosaur charm.

Does anyone have any info on how to take apart the body? I only see two screws on the side after removing the arm but I feel that there should be more screws somewhere that I should be removing.

Thinking about getting the diaclone version of Scoria. Does it come with the same qc issues as the toon accurate first release of Scoria?

There are screws behind the red panels on the side of his chest but they're almost impossible to remove without damaging it in some way (as far as I know).
