While I agree that the movie was very bad in some respects, I don't see the point in starting yet ANOTHER one of these threads.

    Weren't the first 100 enough?

No, I'm completely serious. Can someone who disagrees with the movie designs, please point out the flaws and tell me their opinions? I'd REALLY like to chew on something with a little more meat.

Do you realize how little meat there are on those bones of "garbage" and "scrap metal" excuses you give us?

Why should someone have to vindicate their opinion to you?

If they don't like something, they just don't like it - I see no reason or point in trying to explain it; it's not like it's something you can "fix" for them if you have a slightly better understanding of why they don't like it.

That and no explanation is good enough for either crowd. Its pointless to even try to explain like I just did.

If you dont like something, there needs to be a reason, which should be explained.

I didn't like the first and probably won't like this one either...I look forward to the movie though so that I can give my wallet a break once the movie toys are pushed...

No, there DOESN'T need to be a specific reason to dislike something - opinion is not always based on cold hard facts.

Even if there was, and it was explained, what good/harm would that do you, them, or anyone else? It's such a pointless thing to bitch about.

    You don't get it.

WHY do you need to understand their opinion of a movie so badly, and what good would it do you if you did?

WHY do they owe you an explanation, or as you put it, "a good reason"?

Oh no, it's not for us.

Weeeeeeell... okay, I'll bite. It's because I just simply want to see them floundering about with half baked reasons to TRY and cover up the one reason that EEEEEEVERYBODY knows.

And I mean, c'mon... too complex? For sentient machines that have been around for MILLIONS of years to be too complex? I'd say the representations of the "modern" autobots and decepticons weren't complex enough.

Look at Megatron. He seems just as complex as the others, yet with the passing of several million years, the modern formers don't look much of a step up.

My reasons for hating it had very little to do with the designs, I hated it mostly because of the cheesy nonsensical plot and corny cinematic style.

I really can't be bothered to say anymore than that - them's the facts about my opinion.

As did I, though I'm surprised it's not because of the usual "I hate your opinion" stuff, but rather "I'm intrigued as to the nature of your opinion"

    Lets be perfectley CRYSTAL clear

There are those who don't like it, and there are those who don't. I agree with BOTH sides..

And here I will appeal to both

    Cons:
    1. Low Budget but for a summer flick was sort of good
    2. Choppy scenes where the camera and CGI made it hard to distinguish certain objects
    3. Plot was very touch and go with alot of holes
    4. Yuck on the love scenes it was very out of place in a movie of this sort
    5. The length of the movie was very short and I felt needed to be a little bit longer

    Pros:
    1. The CGI was very well made and might be a start of a new era of CGI
    2. The characters were on par
    3. Action sequences were teeth grinding
    4. The Transformers explanations were simple but meaningful
    5. Each character had his own unique personalitie

This is pretty much what was good and bad about the movie, everyone is entitled to an opinion and mine is a Bipartisan one :)

Are you trying to say that you want to know MORE about why I hated it? Is that really necessary?

I think "hate" is too strong a word - I've watched it a couple times on TV lately, it's not like I'll run to turn it off if it comes on. It's good for half-paying attention to.
