    Ebay:
Well, Classics Rodimus isn't too badly priced on Ebay. Again, I'm hoping it doesn't mess up my Hot Rod just to use this add on (scratches, etc). It looks awesome though for a concept image.

Yes. From gun mode to toy hold-able gun mode.

Great, I just spent £16 on a Rodimus I decided I didn't want when he was on the pegs. Thanks fansprojects, you're the best!

Can't wait for the Protector kit!

(And to those who missed the Classics Rodimus, the Henkei version is still around...)

I hope it will be able to carry that new Matrix they are working on, too.

Not nearly excited about Rodimus as I was about Ultra Magnus & Shadow Commander. Go figure! :lol

Oh, and a Shattered Glass-themed re-deco for a 'Despoiler' version would be neat, too!

i don't know if anyone has mentioned this... but while i love the Rodimus trailer, i'm super worried about the fragile spoiler on HR. i have the beautiful gold chrome on my Takara version... and can just imagine getting my spanking new trailer attachment... only to have it snap off that gorgeous chrome into bitty pieces... i think i'd be very sad...
but i LOVE the idea... it already FEELS like it's worth the risk...

The Rodimus spoiler is fragile? I can see the chrome on it being susceptible to scratching but the spoiler itself is pretty sturdy stuff.

But looking at the pics we have I was wondering where the spoiler goes when attached to the trailer.

i've seen a few with broken spoilers, and always hated it when things like that would break on my G1 toys too... oh god, the worst was G1 swoop. the very first day i had him, i broke his nose off because i didn't get the chest open all the way.. i was very sad.... my second swoop suffered the same fate.... oh swoop... :: runs to look for one on ebay ::

Where would the breaks occur on the spoiler? The winged parts or the joint part where it rotates? I want to make sure to check mine for any stress marks and such.

I was trying to figure that out too. And then I realized that the trailer is wider than Rodimus' normal car mode. Extend the rear wheels out fully (essentially, the extent of transformation you'll need to do to attach the camper trailer. And maybe unpeg the gun, and peg it under the camper instead), and camper looks like it'll be a titch wider than that. That's enough to hide the spoiler internally.

And I don't think Classics Rodimus should have many problems with broken spoilers. The plastic it's made of is quite soft and flexible. Henkei might be a problem, since the chromed plastic is more rigid.

Just use Classics Rodimus, and you should be fine.

That's what I'm planning on doing.

Luckily the colors on Henkei and Classics Rodimus are nearly the same. Only the orange is slightly different.

all of them look great and it looks like the matrix handles open so it can be held with closed fists. I can't wait to see more of the Optimus & Rodimus trailers.

Anyone mind taking a photo of Rodimus PRE-Armour, meaning how you think the "protector" kit will attach. Basically grab your HotRod and pose him how you would to put the Armour on.

We should keep in mind that FansProject has in fact been working on their Prime trailer for well over a year and first showed off their plan back in February last year. Plans for both City Commander and a Prime Trailer were made public to the attendees of a February 2008 "party" held and reported online by the mainland China fan club TFClub (an entity that FP is independent of). Compared to FP's current photos and pictures we can see that their design has evolved and changed a lot over the year.

Nice friendly competitions between the fan kit makers. In the end, I think it'll be us fans who benefit the most.

Their Protector design has changed and evolved since we last saw it in June. I'm very happy that their concept has finally become a reality. :)
