I’d rate him a strong 9. It would’ve been a 9.5 if there was a way to tuck in those wheels that just hang from the side of his shins. I always thought that was a weird thing to overlook in the design.

It was a trade deal. My toy money is depleted until February. He was interested in UT Ragnaros or so I thought. He fell of the planet after telling me he’d get back to me later that day

If they’ve said they will, I see no reason to disbelieve them. Have they said they will?

From an objective perspective, it is not flawless. Good not great. 7.5/10
    - Getting it into combined mode has a few frustrating steps.
    - The Base Bot’s feet poking out from behind the Combined Mode’s head is an eyesore.
    - The Base Mode is barely anything.

    From a personal/emotional perspective, I love the thing. 10/10
    - It’s replaced MP-10 as the G1 Prime on my shelf.
    - It looks great, the scale is perfect, and it feels good.
    - I’m very happy I have the figure, and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

This seems likely. I'd guess that when preorders for one go up, the other will also.

I would assume the same, that or when they release their Overlord.

I don't think anything has been set in stone, but I don't think they've ruled it out either. But yeah, I'd put him at 9.5. I love the core bot is MP scaled, but as others have said, it can be a pain plugging him in for combined mode. And while it wouldn't be accurate, I do wish he had a matrix chamber, particularly since they kept shipping them with matrices for those who pre-ordered.

Ditto. I liked it so much, I got it in two colors! As I've said on here before, if I had the money and shelf space, I'd pick up Purple Power Baser too.

Alright, I saw this guy in a comic story I frequent today, and I'l headed back there later this week. The price was good, but I need to know one thing. Is he fun to just mess with? transform back and forth and pose on a (admittedly large) desk? or is he a "looks good, dont damage the paint or knock him over" affair? Because quite frankly powermaster prime is one of my favourite play patterns so I want to get onboard

    Good to fiddle with.

He's one of the figures that I keep on a lower shelf that my 2 year old can reach because I have no worries about what she'll do to it. The plastic is very robust and toy-like, there's not much paint to damage and he's a lot of fun to pose and play with in all modes. The one snag is that it can be a little fussy connecting the cab into the chest socket the first few times you do it. It just needs to be done a certain way, and once you get it down there's no problem.

Truck cab to "Base" bot: Perfect for fiddling. A good buy just for this
Trailer to Base: Likes to fall apart a bit too much.
Super Bot: Easy to take apart, a challenge to put together just right.

He looks great, and is imposing as hell. But damn, did combining him make me want to chuck him through a wall.

I was not convinced i would like this 1 based on pics, but once i had it in hand he is awesome. Not seeing the issues combining though, seemed fairly easy.

Because it is easy haha, no idea where the difficulty stems from.

One of my top buys this year. Robust, fun to flip back and forth. Combining is particular, but not at all difficult. Watch Emgos vid, he explains it very well.
Highly recommended. I didn't know I was gonna like him quite as much as I do.

I don't know about your copy, (maybe they made a running change on the mold?) but speaking personally, getting the red panels on the back of the base bot's legs to fit properly on the top of the combined bot's chest is a real challenge.
And yes, I've watched seven different instructional videos on the subject. For whatever reason, that last step is tough.
But hey, if it works for you, more power to ya.
