I am beyond excited to get this guy. I really like the other two FH monsterbots.
    And this one looks ace.

As much as l can't wait to get these guys, I find this version of Grotusque strange looking with such a square head !!!

FH shouldve at least bevelled the head more to give it a more natural look instead of looking super flat on the side of the head.
How would he even see forward when both his eyes are looking sideways ???
Anyone whose had or seen the G1 figures can see the beast head has a natural curvature for the eye sockets to see forward, like a cat or dog, or almost any land animal !!!

Is it just me who sees this ???

I keep thinking Im going to have to make my own head for this figure !!! Hope it looks better in hand !!

    These do look awesome together.

Does anyone have a comparison shot next to a GigaPower Dinobot?

Can't wait for this guy to drop so can round out my monster-bot trio

I think Fans Hobby has done a great job with these. They aren't perfect, but price wise and qc wise - they have been good enough to convince this guy (who never knew anything about the monster bots) to buy the set, and I haven't been disappointed one bit...

Honestly, these guys weren't even on my radar until I sucked in by the coolness of some random pic. Honestly, looking at Grotusque in monster mode - although I will definitely still be grabbing him, I don't think the engineering of this guy is that great.

Looking at the legs, they look almost comically G1 to me - but not in a "oh wow neat that looks G1 but has crazy amounts of articulation" kind of way, but more so, "uh - that looks to be as unarticulated as my G1 figures" lol type of way.

I love that shot with Optimus petting him - that's hilarious.

Don't get me wrong, I'm committed cause I've been happy with the QC and plastic quality of FH stuff, but I DO feel they are lacking in the complexity of their transformations and have alot of room for improvement. I say this with enthusiastic encouragement (not to dump on them) - because I've bought all their stuff so far, like it, but just which they worked a bit more on their backpacks and articulation.

Looking forward to adding this guy to the shelf!

    peace..

Who knows - maybe he's supposed to be like a dinosaur or crocodile type thing, so he's got great vision on either side of his head, but blind spot in front....

Be interested to see what kind of head you come up with! Good luck :)
