I just got mine today and I think my the slot in the left hand might be deformed. When I insert the sword to the sword is angled and not parallel to the arm. It was also much more difficult to get the sword into the left hand than the right. Has anyone else had this issue or does it seem like a defective hand?

I always struggle with getting the swords in both version's hands.

It takes awhile, but I finally get them in right.

I've never liked slots and pegs with weapons so I haven't bothered to try. I just wrap his fingers around the handle and he holds it just fine.

So I guess I don't know my toy history... Generation 2 was mostly repaints/etc, but this was an actual new model?

Really nice looking, am once again tempted to collect outside my usual geewunner rules...

Yup, both Prime and Megs got whole new bodies.

A G2 Megatron is in the works from Fans Hobby as well.

Ah, this finally solves a mystery that's been in the back of my mind since I was a kid - why another kid in school was telling me Megatron was a tank now but I never saw that happen in the series. I'd always assumed it was in one of the Japanese series I never saw...

Oooh boy that paint scheme. I hope Fans Hobby... applies some interpretation there!

P.S. Did Laser Prime inspire the alt mode used in the Bay films?

Eh, maybe? I think it's mostly that they don't make cabs like G1 Prime anymore.

Yeah that's what I thought when I first saw it, but I have to say the red-black transition paint really makes me think of Bayverse's flame decals.

In one of the extras of the first movie dvd, Bay says that he choosed a long nose truck to make his Prime different from the G1.

Got mine today. It's pretty, but the execution is kinda meh. Uninspired transformation. Legs barely tab together in truck mode, and the cab doesn't really want to stay perfectly down. Some floppy fingers on the left hand. Fuel tank assemblies feel really cheap. Not worth the price imo, despite the size. Feels like a 3rd party toy from 5 years ago.

Hey I just got my MB-04 and It has an issue with one of the hipjoints. I know some people had issues with the shoulder of MB-01 and I was wondering how you guys resolved the issue with FansHobby. I replied to my order confirmation email and sent some pics of the problem, just wondered if anyone else who's gone through this has any tips?
    Thanks!

I also have floppy fingers on the left hand but they stay in place if I move them into a fist.

Does this figure weigh less than Archenemy or am I imagining things?

It does weigh less, the thighs are plastic while they were diecast on Archenemy.

Never thought I'd be interested in a non-GEEWUN Prime, particularly one with a long cab (heresy!) but I ended up ordering this guy yesterday. Laser Prime as a concept has grown on me.

I guess there's not much chance of someone eventually making a trailer? With a big picture of Prime burning down a forest of course.

I had problems at first with my Archenemy, but I use the fingers to push it in and that seems to do it. For a first release by a new company, this guy is surprisingly without many flaws.

Okay--sorry to post in this thread, but it's semi-related. Finally got Arch Enemy this week (in a Pile of Loot that recently completed) and he is awesome. Except for one thing that kinda bugs me.

Do his and Gunfighter's arms feel just a bit short to anyone else? I notice it a lot when posing the arms in different ways. To really accentuate the point, if you stand him straight and take his neck-to-shoulder joints, leave one at the 90-degree point and click the other down one (which is as far as it goes) and straighten the arm, it makes a huge difference (except his shoulder looks droopy).

I don't know if it was already discussed here or in the other thread, so I apologize if so. It doesn't kill the figure, but I just keep....seeing it. Wondered if anyone else did.
