Seems like there is not a single QC issue with Gunfighter II.

 

I have loose finger joints on one hand... Floppy loose. Sword fitting in hand leaves a bit to be desired. I hope that improve the hands on the their Powermaster.

 

I've always preferred G1 Magnus with red thighs, but then I remember that from the toy. Was a bit of a shock when I rewatched the movie/season 3 and realised his thighs were white in the movie/cartoon. (Likewise, I remember Galvatron being light grey/silver with purpe limbs thanks to the Marvel comics and the toys and still prefer that as well.)

But I will admit that I would like a Beasthunters deco (with Hammer) probably more. And if they do release that...I will like it and thoroughly and deeply hate it, because I only want one deco of this mould in my collection. (Although I could always add this to my Optimus Primal collection...)

Okay, so that could possibly be:
- Ultra Magnus (either G2 and/or Beasthunters)
- Toxitron
- a better Scourge (different head and dark grey)
- Optimus Primal colours (although technically Optimus Primal in BWR had the G2 Optimus colours)

 

Mine has a loose left index finger (it will hold as long as the fingers are together, but otherwise it just flops around) and he can't hold his sword because the tab/groove doesn't fit -- it does kind of fit when I insert the sword upside down from the bottom of his hand, but not all the way. I also have the impression that his left arm won't close perfectly, especially with the hand tucked in.

Think I will also partly take him apart and grease some parts. One of the legs really did not like to extend when transforming him back to robotmode and I had to use more strength than I like.

 

Also a straight G1 Red truck/chest, and a movie deco like that Japanese exclusive spychanger, and what the hell, a Diaclone blue.  

 

Wasn't sold on this mold as Archenemy but wow. The tweaks they made really improved the figure and the G2 color scheme really make it pop.

I just ordered this guy too. I was trying to hold off and focus on season 1-3 characters, but I already have the G2 Sideswipe and Bumblebee that don't really fit anywhere anyway. I'd love to get that blue Grinder as well. I think they would make a hell of a display.

 

Crap, I'd forgotten about the upcoming blue Grinder.

 

I have the Archenemy version of this mold and love him, but my one gripe was that I couldn't remove the translucent eyes when I took apart the head to paint them because they were glued into the head. Is that different on Gunfighter? I'd love to be able to take out his eyes and paint them to make them pop a bit more.

 

Mine came today. Glad I got this guy, he looks great and is built like a tank. I also recently picked up Generation Toys OP EX which is also a great figure but he has that softer plastic feel similar to striker manus. I much prefer the stronger, glossy plastics used on Gunfighter. Either way I'm happy with both. JJ01 supreme leader was a recent purchase as well and that figure is really awesome for the price, if you are on the fence about getting that guy just DO IT!

 

I. Love. This. Toy.

I have a dozen Masterpiece figures, including MP-36 Megatron and Sovereign, but I think this may be my favorite. It just looks and feels perfect. Phenomenal job, and has me even more hyped for PMOP.

Hopefully they eventually make a G2 Megatron.

 

They have already hinted at G2 Megatron.

So I take it the issues with the shoulder assembly have been resolved with this version too?

 

What was the shoulder issue? I have the Archenemy version and haven't noticed a issue yet.

 

A few people had shoulders break on first run Archenemies.


There weren't many affected though, and I haven't seen any mention of it in a long time.

 

What issues? Of all the reviews I've read and watched, no one mentioned anything about having issues with the shoulders for this or for Archenemy.

 

So I have Archenemy and had no plans to get this... but seeing this side by side with Hasbro MP-10 is really selling me on it. I'm gonna hold out in the hopes that they do a more 'traditional' OP color scheme with this mold.

 

Finally got here. I'm loving this figure so much. Looks so good with G2 Sideswipe and G2 BB.
