If it doesn't contain any of the original parts, its not a KO. They built this figure from scratch.

 

For such a big figure, there's a lot of visible hinges and robot parts. The robot mode shoulder's also seem too big.

 

Sold. My favorite character and MP scaled cannot wait for the pre-order to hit.  Now I just need his badass trailer/battle station then I can die happy.

Always thought that old mold was just a few good extra joints and some stronger plastic away from being as nice as an mp so good to see a company release this.

see... RID scourge was my first Transformers figure ever. I still have him, but he's in awful shape. stickers are gone or ruined, no sword, most of the trailer accessories are missing, rusted screws and pins. the works. i've always meant to get a new one but always felt that it would insult the original. So i've made due with repaints and remakes of him.

but this... This is an absolute dream come true. I wish he came with the trailer, but that thing barely had purpose to begin with. so this is an absolute MUST HAVE for me.

 

Oh. My. God. I just bought RID scourge for the first time a couple months ago, and he is absolutely amazing.

Now he's got more articulation AND bigger stupid-high shoulder pads!? Yes please!

It's too bad I have no place for masterpiece sized stuff :/

 

Ooh, interesting. RiD Scourge is such a great figure and the thought of an MP of that character/figure is very tempting.

I like G1 Scourge as a character (and his colours), but his altmode never made sense to me. RiD Scourge suddenly made me wish for the G1 character with the RiD altmode.

My personal wish would be a mixture of the original G2 mould with the RtS mould. I just loved the transformation of the chest on that one with the cab windows becoming the actual windows on the chest. The rest of the RtS I didn't really like, and if someone would release a G2/RiD based figure with that window transformation, I would be very happy indeed.

I'm surprised so many people want this to be smaller... I mean would this even be that distinct from the original Scourge if it weren't MP scale? Anyone out there dying for a CHUG-scaled RiD Scourge in this day and age?

I mean is it really such a bad idea to open the RiD-2001 3P Masterpiece floodgates with the Decepticons? They are a pretty easy group to complete, in the anime the entire faction is just two guys: Scourge and a repaint of a G1 combiner. And is a Masterpiece Bruticus that far-fetched?

It wouldn't take a marketing genius for any company working on a larger scale Bruticus right now to tease a Ruinaton redeco at some point before this gets released.

 

Quickest emotional roller coaster just hearing about this and then being disappointed. Both modes look very chunky, and his arms look too short. What's the point in taking the gas cans off his forearms? Not crazy about the head either. Looks too much like G1 Prime instead of Laser Prime. I never watched the show, but is it trying to go for RID show accuracy?
The only thing I like is how the arms come out closer to the body from the shoulders. and I guess the smaller thigh/pelvis gap looks better.

Yeah. Sacrifice just to get a more Prime look for the Laser Prime deco. Seems pointless.

Probably because at this scale it would be really expensive and not worth it.

I am a fan. At first I had issue with the Transformission Stunticons being MP scale, but if everyone is going to do it, then it works for me. These look good and blocky but with MP scale and little extra details. I'm with it.

 

This is super cool. I wonder if they will do more RID figures as MP. It would also be cool if the did an official Nemesis like at Tokyo Toy Fair
