That's sweet. Every once in a while, I think about getting into Legos. Yesterday, I was at Downtown Disney's 'Festival of the Masters.' In addition to all the great art on display and the excellent sidewalk chalk artists, they also invited members from the Florida Lego Club (which has a more official name, I'm sure) to display some of their wares. Recreations of scenes from famous movies, from Casablanca to Spiderman 2 were on display. Additionally, a 'master model maker' was putting together a larger-than-life Yoda. The best part? Kids could help by putting together some of the bricks into larger designs, which the builder would then attach to Yoda. If you haven't seen Legoland at Downtown Disney, it's quite a sight to see- a life-sized sea serpent in the lagoon, a family walking a bunch of dogs, and much more- created entirely out of Legos. But I have bots to buy, and no room (or time) for Legos. Oh well. -Tony!
According to the blurb on the url linked, the carrier cost into 5 figures. Given the German on carrier guy's brickshelf page, I'll bet that means at least 10,000 euros, and probably a good deal more. Also: take that, SNOT purists.
Holy Dammit Christmas! That thing is so awesome it is beyond words. I can't even imagine how much time and money he invested in that thing. *EDIT* Geez, 5 figures?! That's dedication.
Land your seekers, make out, or get married on it? I want seekers to land while get married and make out on it.....Or not.... On topic: Holy S&*% BATMAN! THAT'S AWESOME!
this is actually the second site i found it on, to tell you the truth, i was originally going to post the first site, but it had too many porn sites advertising on it, so i had to post this site instead. but my interest in legos, has boasted back up, just a small amount. especially with the average $100 set now has over 1000 pieces! wow! that's nothing compared to what we had as a kid. and with those sets having 1000 pieces this thing must have 1 million pieces?
no it doesn't float that's shallow water and it's on a board, like stated before, but it's still very massive, and much more impressive then the mega bloks one made.
No SHIT! I read the description at the top of the page that the thing is 5m long (>15 feet) and, by the look of the first pic, I thought the 5m claim was a bit exaggerated...then I saw that picture of the dude crouching by it--->>DAMN.
edited, found more pictures at brickshelf here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=126969
if you need one that transforms, i am sure i can find something made from legos on brickshelf that does already.
