I disagree. We've seen a bunch of "how we're doing this" clips/interviews - now it's time to see some proper footage/trailer material. It's saving the best for last.
That is exactly my problem, we HAVE seen a lot of the game already. Because of that the trailer won't have the same impact as it would have if it was the first thing shown after the cover. Yeah, it will be a total geekgasm if we see the Dinobots and Bruticus in the trailer, but wouldn't it have been a lot better if they were revealed in a cinematic trailer, before we got to find anything else out? And THEN telling us all about it after, and wrapping it up with a gameplay trailer?
Well it's a "reveal" so I don't expect gameplay. I'm going to be really negative and say we'll get a cinematic that looks cool but is far from the finished product as in the case of WfC we got no good melee system as shown by Optimus and no good cover implementation as shown by Bumblebee. Heck I wouldn't be surprised it it wasn't just about Grimlock rather than a cinematic narrated by Optimus.
...do I have to watch that atrocity of an "award show" to see the trailer? =. Seriously... the show is just a bunch of ads for the big name companies to claim more "awards" for their triple-A titles. Oh and Jersey Shore trash will be there according to their site... Yea, definitely wanna see Fake Jersey Italians in a game show. *facepalm* Course how many of those celebrity guests do you think even give a rats about gaming? Nah... Spike VGA is all about flashiness. Oh and lining their coffers behind-the-stage so that your games get mentioned, possibly even to win.
Whooptee doo! And before you know it, it will be in he discount/used bin. And nobody will care a couple weeks after it's released. Just like every other game.
Time to make a note on the calendar. I guess we'll know on the 10th if Mr. Welker will be voicing Megatron or not *crosses fingers*.
