As promised I made a simple guide on how to make your FOC Bruticus from this...

    to this...

    IMG_1993.jpg

Obviously the main problem in the default configuration are the arms, they are too long and out of proportion, hence the alternate transformation mainly involves a more compact form...

    Starting of with blast off:

We'll start with his default ARM mode as detailed in his manual.

    From this configuration...

    IMG_1958.jpg

Unfold blast off's main thrusters so they are in line with the nose cone...

    IMG_1960.jpg

You'll notice that he's all stretched out in this mode, and in fact the method for the alternate transformation is very simple!

    IMG_1959.jpg

Simply fold Blast off's thighs inward into the grooves on his legs like so...

    IMG_1961.jpg

then fold it again outwards like so...

    IMG_1962.jpg

his crotch/thigh joint will acts as the elbow joint and his hips will serve as the bicep pivot...

also in this configuration the "Thrusters" will serve as covers for the arm to body connector, making bruticus appear less spindly...

    IMG_1963.jpg

Here's a view from the side...

    IMG_1964.jpg

He's starting to look better now isn't he?

    Next is Vortex...

He is a bit more complex than blastoff so i'll try to describe the steps as simply as I can...

Let's start from his default Arm Mode...

    IMG_1977.jpg
As you can see the joint under vortex' cockpit is all stretched out...

    IMG_1979.jpg

All we need is to fold it back in like so...

    IMG_1980.jpg

Next we need to flip up the tail fin and flip the arm connector 90 degrees so that it's facing outwards lik a thruster, likes so...

    IMG_1980.jpg

then we need to unravel vortex' arms like so...

    IMG_1985.jpg

Then we need to fold out his arms...

    IMG_1987.jpg

and then fold his forearms upward and together like so...

    IMG_1988.jpg

You can either choose to fold out the chopper blades or keep them together, I prefer them folded out...

    IMG_1974.jpg

and here's a view from the side...

    IMG_1975.jpg

and here we have the new improved bruticus!

Hope this guide helped you to change your view of FOC Bruticus! :D

Not so much 'changed my mind' as 'made me feel more comfortable about buying him', but cheers anyway. :)  Those wider thighs are basically just twisting them 90 degrees, right?

    Here's a bonus...

    Bruticus' Alternate Rifle Configuration...

Actually Onslaught's weapon is vital in keeping Bruticus' torso stable, so I think it's better that we leave it at his back...

That being said, here's the configuration for his gun as suggested by a fellow TF fan...

looking at it, it seems that the designers really intended it to be this way...

and here are more pics of FOC bruticus...

Yes, ehehe I forgot to detail them, but as you said they're just basically turning them inwards ( and outwards during posing)... :D

Salamat pare! Mas mukha na siyang astig ngayon pero Mala bading pa din ang kulay niya.

    Taste the rainbow!

I love how his shoulders gives it a bulkier look! + rep

A yes, Instead of locking down the cannons with the rear covers, I just fold them up so they can make a nice knee pad, also you can disconnect the foot from the heels to give him a bit of ankle articulation :D

thanks man, this is my favorite unofficial transformation I've seen so far.
definitely gets me a bit more excited about the g2 brut I have coming. I was pretty much considering just leaving the individual bots separated but I'll have to give this transformation a go.

Thank you very much. I really liked my config until I saw this, but this blows it away.

Can't wait to leave work now...

Thanks guys, Hope you enjoy it, still not perfect though but I think we already addressed the major issues...

Thanks! Yes that land bison is a KO, got it at some mall stall that sells KO TF's here in Calamba around 2 years ago...

If (& by if, I mean when) I get my soon to be preordered G2 Bruticus, this is the configuration it's going in! It looks 1,000 times better than the gorilla arms that hasbro intended it to be done.

Wow, nice. I never get to bump into these cool KOs when I'm there. The things they have in SM suck.

I think I'm the only one who think all that crap tacked onto the main gun is turrible. Just going to plug the two black pieces together and see what happens.

Anyway, thanks for the guide Amuro. I'm definitely going to use some of the recs to get the most out of my G2 set.
