I have seen this being said a lot....so I have to ask. Was it confirmed that there were only going to be 8 figures only.....or that they confirmed 8 figures so far?

Well this certainly looks promising. One wish I have though is that this is offered in a gift set or at the very least that all 5 figures are in quantities that will make it easy to find them all.

I'd been kind of bummed that Hasbro was doing some really nice stuff with their older characters but the members of the combiner teams just didn't seem to get any love. So it's just hard to describe the joy and excitement of seeing the Combaticons get so much loving from Hasbro.

Cool toys and the hope now that other combiner teams might get a little official love from Hasbro. Today is a nice day to be Transformers fan, yes.

I don't know what's more amusing: a FOC Combaticons reveal or the reactions (in this thread) to a FOC Combaticon reveal.

I'm not huge on the WFC/FOC stuff, BUT HOLY SHART I WANT THESE!

 

Look like Deluxes as Scout do not often tend to have screws in the knees.

And they do seem to fit the War for Cybertron vibe more than the FOC Optimus does - If they can manage to make that slightly average looking FOC Optimus design look good in toy form then I will be impressed.

To be fair I think it makes more sense to make FOC Megatron, Grimlock & Optimus as Voyagers otherwise your just retreading old ground the only reason to make them all again is if they are bigger - otherwise what's the point of doing those as Deluxes other than Hasbro cynicism ?

I hope they counted "Bruticus" as 1 and he's not one of the "8" as that would be 5 Combaticons + precious few others. Jazz & Starscream at least should be repaint friendly. I think they will have enough wit to make Ironhide/Ratchet though.

One small concern is these do put things like Hoist & Trailbreaker ever further into the future.... perhaps they can make Classic Style Cyberverse Commanders out of Minibot characters to fill some of the gaps.

 

I don't know about your financial situation but instead of taking that chance I'll just pre-order them from BBTS. Just seems easier to do it that way and cut out the fear that you will end up one limb short and searching everywhere for that last one.
