I'm somewhat new to trading Tfs and don't want anyone to think i'm ripping them off. So,my question is.I have a MISB Classic Devastater and i'm looking for the Bruticus add on limbs. It would be nice to get the Bruticus bot too....i'd just be happy with the limbs. Is that a decent trade offer? Not sure i want to get rid of it yet, just kicking the idea around.

Trades are just that, trades. It's rare to find two people who agree exactly on the value of a trade. It really boils down to how much they want item X of yours and how much you want item Y of theirs.

I know that probably doesn't help much, but for a fandom where a character or figure can crash/skyrocket over night it's never easy to pin down just what is a "fair" trade.

The most accurate guess is to take the general aftermarket vaule of your item and compare it to the general aftermarket value of the item you're asking for. If the dollar values are similar then you likely have as close to a "fair" trade as it gets.

*Edit: Personally I'd prefer the classics Dev over the limbs.

    Indeed.

Try to evaluate the value of the devastator and fans project stuff and see if the dollar is close.

I would hang onto devy as a fans project kit very well could be in the works for it too

By Bruticus add-on limbs do you mean Explorer and Muntioner + add-on? It's a fair trade then.

I have 2 Devs.I got the second one just to have for trade bait if something ever came up and yes, Explorer and Muntioner. If i go by price, then the add ons and the bruticus bots together woldn't be a fair trade then? I just really want these bots and its easier for me to trade then buy.

Damnit,i would get the high traffic warning as i'm trying to respond....

The FP stuff alone, then yes, its fair. It always comes down to both people just getting what they want out of the deal. If that happens, then its all fair really.

Honestly, Classics Devy sells for what? 70-80? And Explorer and Munitioner were RETAIL 110 together + shipping at their lowest retail.

So, no... it's not a fair trade.

MISB devs still sell @ 100+, easy. Last one on ebay sold 125~. If thats what you have then yeah fair enough. Bruticus kits are maybe more "in demand" though, probably might have a hard time finding a taker.

Not a fair trade for the other guy, you are getting the better end of the deal.

See, I skimmed past the MISB part, so my bad.

I still dunno though... The munitioner/Explorer kits are still selling for a bit higher now. I'm seeing them towards the 140+ range atm.

Regardless though, even lopsided, if you can find someone who wants a Devy that bad, then you both win.

The BIN price is useless. I can list any transformer I want and put a BIN of 1 million dollars. That doesnt make it worth that much.

Ebay allows you to view completed listings. You can see exactly what the auction sold for.

Completed listing will give you a much more accurate price value than simply seeing a BIN price.

I would compare completed listings for devvy, and the add on limbs and go from there.

If you want Bruticus and the Crossfire set for your Devy i would wait to see if the rumor of FP doing an add on set for Devy is true. If the rumor is true I'm pretty you'll be able to get what you want for him.

I think he's talking about just the add-ons. Both Bruticus and the add-ons would be insanity.

Frankly why do you care if it is a fair trade or not. If both you and the other guy agree on it, trade. If you think you are not getting a fair deal, then don't trade. Same for the other guy. If he thinks it isn't fair, he won't trade.
