Just beat the game a second time, saved everyone, was pure good, and Jasper is still talking to me. The only problem? Whenever I warp to a city, I'm greeted with the sound of multiple people throwing up. I picked all the "Good" choices when ruling, and one was remove the limit on drinking. Now I'm the Queen of an entire nation populated by drunks. Actual DLC for Fable 3 hitting Xbox Live this Tuesday, which adds a new area and quest. There's also some other DLC that will add new hairstyles. Time for a 3rd play-though.
I'm really considering getting the pc version of this. I generally liked the original. I'm wondering one thing, though. Is the endgame balanced better than in 1? By the time you got to the dragon at the end of the original, you can beat the damn thing in less than a minute, while also preventing it from attacking even once. It was a real disappointing final boss for such a good game.
Umm.. Well... The last boss isn't something you expect, but it does end rather quickly. You can't prevent it from attacking, but you can easily dodge the attacks.
I was a horrible bastard the entire game and somehow got the "good" ending. WTF? I did make a mix of both good and bad decisions once in control, but there were far more negative decisions than good ones. I guess I should just go about killing every innocent villager on the next play through.
You wanna talk disappointing final boss? Try Fable 2. Actually, I don't think he really counts as a boss - just more of a huge-ass disappointment of an antagonist.
It is odd, but in a way, as much as I love a proper boss battle at the end of a game, I'm glad they don't give you one that busts your balls for an hour like a General Raam on Hardcore in Gears or the final boss in Bayonetta is perfectly capable of. It took me ages to throw that bitch into the Sun.
A boss fight can be hard, but not take a really long time. That seems to be something developers are forgetting nowadays.
Exactly. Your post just reminded me of what I don't like most about FF XIII, and all those fights in the game that weren't even bosses that took close to ten minutes if you used the wrong paradigm. Ughh.
Finished up the new DLC. It's short, maybe an hour's worth of playtime if you do Understone, Shooting Range, and the Wheel of Misfortune all in one shot (no achievements for any of the DLC either).
The DLC is crap. It takes 20-30 minutes to complete and takes 2 seconds to download... the content is already on the disk. What a waste of money.
