Awesome. I'll probably at least rent this.

And the ability to sooth children also implies you can punch them and what not. That sounds awesome.

I too hope the co-op is better. The co-op in the second one was terrible.

I just started playing part 2.
I hope that part 3 has farts in it.

Nothing like having a bunch of hangers-on standing around telling you how wonderful you are because you fart like a champ. The essence of role-playing games, to be sure.

God, that paragraph about the new touch feature gives me a sense of dread. I would like to see them lean towards making the game long and ecxiting rather then short but life-simulation-like. I enjoyed both Fables, but both also had a huge sense of undewhelmingness with the story and main quest, especially the second one. I never really cared about decorating your home, and getting armor and clothing that doesn't effect your stats was dissapointing.

After how meh Fable 2 was, I'm going to need a lot of convincing to buy the third instalment.

Not me. I really enjoyed what I played of it. Despite his overly cocky attitude, Peter redeemded himself with the second game.

I found the second to be only on par with the first. Yeah, the first didn't include the feature set he promised, but it was a more enjoyable adventure. Fable 2 had some incredible environments, but utter lack of challenge and overall content that actually mattered brought it down quite a bit. However, I did enjoy it, and would probably get the third as long as it doesn't become an MMO.

Well there was a lot of hype for it that it didn't really live up to but other than that it was a beautiful game and very enjoyable...well except for the final boss.

Hopefully the main quest will be more substantial and have a good end boss.

Is it just me or does it seem almost too soon to announce fable 3? It might be just me because I haven't had a chance to play fable 2 at all yet.

I'm amazed no one's bumped this thread... Fable 3 comes out tomorrow! I'll be buying it in the next couple of days. Hopefully I'll be able to trade in three old games and get Fable for free at JB Hi-Fi like I did for New Vegas...

    Who's getting it tomorrow? :)

I really want to like these games but how many promises are you gonna break Lionhead ?

If you need to delay a year or two then do it.

That's why I don't read any of the interviews with Peter Molyneux anymore. The guy talks so much crap. That doesn't stop me from enjoying the games, however.

I'm looking into it now. I loved the first too, but not enough customization for my liking, though I like the story in this one (what's been released, so far).

Reaver is back. Theresa is back. Her VA all but confirms that she is the little sister from Fable 1 (not sure if that was ever confirmed or not). Ben Kingsley, Bernard Hill, John Cleese and SIMON FRICKIN' PEGG all voice characters.
