Well I want to start selling things, just to be striaght forward. I just don't know how Ebay works, and what I need. I love Transformers, but alot just take up space and I have lots of old toys I could sell. I just want one of the veteran posters hear to explain to me everything. How to sell, what I need to sell etc... Please!
EDIT: I didn't know exactly what to put this thread in so I figured the Ebay one lol.

Well you have a couple of options really. If you are very inexperienced with ebay you may want to try what is called an consignment seller. This is a person you drop your stuff off with and they post it for you and take a percentage of the profits. In a lot of ways it is very easy, especially if you are selling off your collection in one big mess of auctions. If you have a longer term plan for selling you might want to do the sales yourself.

Here's a good list of Consignments sellers in the PA area:

Having a postage scale and a printer to print shipping labels is very helpful. A camera to take pics of your items is key.

I suggest reading about all the fees before diving in.

Off the top of my head you will be charged:

    1. A small listing fee
    2. If you want more than 1 picture in your auction it's an additional charge.
    3. Having a "Buy it now" option cost extra
    4. eBay will take a total item fee based on how much your item sells for.
    5. If you are accepting paypal, they will also collect a fee from the transaction.
    6. I also believe they have started taking a fee based on shipping cost to keep people from charging insane shipping prices.
