Just as the title says. would it possible or not?

Depending if they transform from an earth vehicle to an alien vehicle mode or the other way around?

Or how would be a transformer to turn into 2 completly different vehicle modes? like Blitzwing and others?

I guess scan two vehicles. I don't think they can be an alien mode and an earth mode though. Maybe a hybrid like megs alt mode

I'm not sure what you mean by Double-Changers. Do you mean ones like Animated Shockwave, where they can disguise themselves as other robots?

As for Triple-Changers, I can't find the pic, but someone made some fan art of Springer, where he's a basic sports car, and he transforms into the crude form of a helicopter. I'm convinced that this is the only way Triple-Changers can be pulled off without simply turning the vehicles upside down/inside out. It'd kinda be like Stealth Force, only rather than the car deploying weapons, it's more like it's going into a flight mode.

The robot mode would obviously show features from both vehicle modes.

I don't see a reason why such things couldn't ever be.

What's the criteria for why you think it might not work?

I'm pretty sure a robot mode and a vehicle mode would constitute a "double changer".

But, yeah I think triple changers would work. Blitzwing for TF4!! :D

We've technically seen some robots that have had two or more alt-modes in one movie, such as the protoform "travel" modes, and laserbeak's various modes. I think it could be done.

I think that would be the best idea for approaching live-action triple changers - a robot having two different alternate modes, but they're not 100% distinct from each other.

what about stealth force? it combined the altmodes speed and the robots modes fire power i think every one with a stealth force mode counts as a triple changer

Stealth Force wasn't really a mode of its own, though. It was more of a partial transformation between modes.

Speaking of Stealth Force, where do all of those guns go when they're in Robot mode? They seem to be armed to the teeth but all (for example) Sideswipe uses are his sawed-off shotgun things, all Bumblebee uses if his arm cannon, and Dino didn't even use a gun. Seriously, wtf.

Maybe it's like a noisy cricket thing where if they used them in a bipedal mode they'd be thrown off-balance, compared to a relatively stable car mode.

Or maybe because it was too expensive to model them in.

Or maybe because the wanted to keep each feature like the associated toys sold with it.

Now that I think about it, wasn't Movie Mixmaster called a triple changer because of his secondary cannon form?

I guess in the movie verse, you just need one vehicle mode, one robot mode, and one made up weaponized form to be called a triple changer.

I thought Megs was a triple changer too in ROTF...

BUt seriously, if you do TF4, give me Astrotrain, Blitzwing and Octane with Thundercracker and Skywarp, MAKE THEM ACTUALLY HAVE SOME COOL FIGHTS WITH BOTS, not just a end of the movie all must die fight, work in some shit talking between the combatants, and I think I might enjoy the movie.

Triple changers would work better in the movies than in any other media, since the super-complex nature of their designs means they could effectivly disguise themselves as two vehicles by replacing every visible panel and piece of one altmode with the other.

Actually Bumblebee's stealth force mode uses his regular cannon and his shoulder missiles along with a few smaller guns.

It stands to reason all that weaponry is usable in both modes, but "stealth force" allows them to keep up in high-speed battles and use it all at once. Sideswipe may just prefer using is mini-shotguns and swords.
