Anyone seen this yet ? I did a search of the forum for exo-suit spike and didnt get any results so i thought i would post it . SOrry if its been posted already ..

Ayways its Spike in his Exo Suit from the G1 cartoons..
Its pretty cool looking ,It transforms and all but i think they could have done a better job and made it look like a EXO Suit and not a robot with a human head lol.. Its all out of proportions i think .. Still cool though , i will buy one if its not insainly priced lol.

Impossible toys is releasing it , i found the orginal thread over on seibertron.com
You can see the orginal post here

I was willing to get over the "robot" mode if the alt mode was cartoon accurate. But the alt mode here is total crud.

I think Jizai Toys would be more suited to tackle a transformable Exo-suit

I think if they would make this like a Pretender it would be so much better.. Make the Spike figure about the size of a MASK figure and then ake the EXO Suit a shel he can fit in. It would even be possible to make the shell transform, even if they ade it a parts former..

Pretty much what Trailbreaker said. The human mode proportions are way off, especially the fists, and the altmode looks nothing like the cartoon version. And whil;e I may not be the greatest advocate of so-called 'toon accuracy', in this case it's kinda the point.

    Interesting... but a little weird.

The way the arms are ... there's just no shoulders?

The hose connecting the arms to the body needs to be shorter and higher. The length of the arm needs to be shorter. The hand needs to be smaller.

wow fail. nice try but fail. I know it is possible to do a cartoon accurate exo-suit. at least more accurate than this POS.

It is hard since we never really get a good look at car mode. but I would imagine that the legs would collapse and join together to make the rear part of the car.

Not if you're after 'toon accuracy, which I would assume they were. I always wondered if their arms were actually in there. Daniel's transformation in the movie (when his tucks his real arms in next to his body) would suggest that they aren't. Although when Monzo pulls his arms in Rebirth, he cries in pain. Maybe there's some kind of neuro-doobrey link so he can feel damage done to the suit; of course that'd make for some pretty shit armour.

Or it could be that when the suit transforms the user shifts position in order not to be crushed. Daniel or Spike would be pushed towards the center "block" while the rest of the suit would change shape. Once it would be in humanoid form, the user could wear it as an exoskeleton making it easier to move. That could explain why he felt pain when Mondo pulled his arms.

Considering you have to 'think about what you want to do before you do it' I would say there is indeed some kind of connection to the mind for controlling the suit. I'd assume that when Daniel's suit had the arm connection torn in Rebirth it was that feedback which caused him pain. Now, it could be that he's never been hurt in an exo-suit before and just overreacted because he's an annoying whiney kid or, more likely, since the suit is also his life-support system since his accident, the damage is hurting him more than if it had just been a normal exo-suit.
As for where the limbs and things are inside the suit, I've always felt the human is only inside the torso part somehow (keeping to scale has never been much of an issue for TF, so I'm sure many times the exo-suit looks too big or too small on a person), although probably rather cramped/snug. Certainly being in the limbs of the suit as well would make transforming bone-breakingly painful.

The G1 series toys did not always look or transform exactly like they did in the show as we all know, and most of the transformations if applied to real life there was no way they would work? I found this clip on youtube of Daniel transforming and it in fact looks like the legs fold up and arms push in but the look from robot to car thingy does not seem practical?
