If this show were to be released on DVD, I would burn rubber on the way to the mall.

the only problem with that would be that it's not a very well known, nor, loved show, so i would doubt it would get a DVD release yet, we will probably have to wait a little longer, after all the 80's stuff is released on DVD first, and then when Rino or what ever runs out of stuff to release, we will start getting the 90's stuff. i hope.

I loved Exo-squad and would buy a DVD set in a heart beat. That said, whoever designed those color schemes needs to be beaten with a rubber hose. hot pink is NOT a good color for a battlesuit. Neon colors do not work well with military equipment in general.

Do I remember it? Where do you think I got my screen name from? Exo-Squad was one of the best cartoons ever. I too would kill to have it on DVD. I do have the whole series on a bunch of VCDs, but the quality goes from watchable on the low end to average VHS on the high end. It saddens me that shows like this can be so easily forgotten. Especially when you look at the crap that passes for cartoons these days. Exo-Squad probably hasn't been aired since '96 or so. That means there is a large crop of young people who have never had a chance to see it. Back when Toonami was cool(does it even still exist?) I thought it would have gone great with that block of action cartoons. Especially, since at the time Toonami was all older shows. Sadly, unless some sort of miracle happens, I don't see it ever being released on DVD. Of course, I would the happiest person in the world to be proven wrong.

I liked exosquad because it had continuity, like Gargoyles. I just didn't care for the "kid humor," it got on my nerves a lot. It seemed Gargoyles did a better job at curbing that.

    Still a great show though.

I remember seeing that show and those toys back in the day. I need to take some time to watch the entire series, I hear awesome things about it.

I'm still hoping for Samurai Pizza cats to get a proper DVD release.

But I do remember this show, though it got lost in the mix.

I wish I was at the meeting that decided this was a good idea.

"So, any one have any good ideas for a new weekend morning cartoon for the kids?"

"What about basing something off a movie? Kids like movies."

    "Maybe. What's popular right now?"

    "Terminator?"

"Maybe, if Fox isn't a bitch on the licensing rights."

    "How about Jurassic Park?"

"Made a mint at the BO."

    "And kids love dinosaurs."

    "Everyone loves Speilberg."

"Can we get Goldbum to do the voice?"

"Wait. What about that Dino-riders cartoon? What happened to that?"

    "It tanked."

"So much for that idea. Speilberg have anything else we can adapt? What's he got out now?"

    "Schindler's List."

"Oh yeah? I heard that's good."

    "Won tons of Oscars."

"I'm not sure the networks will let us use Nazis. They're still sensitive after the whole Hogan's Heroes thing."

    "Damn. OK, howabout alien Nazis?"

    "Will they speak German?"

"No, no. Not real Nazi aliens. Just Nazi-like."

    "What about the holocaust thing?"

"I don't see any problem with it."

    "We'll say it's educational."

"But why would aliens want to kill Jews?"

"And do you think the JDL will get that we're saying it's bad?"

"Well, what if the aliens killed everybody equally?"

    "I think that'd be ok."

"So it's settled. Schindler's List with aliens."

    "And no Jews."

    "Right."

    "Can we have robots?"

"Ferchrissake Jenkins. What is it with you and the robots?"

"I mean, evil allien nazi robots. With evil alien nazis inside?"

"It would give us a toyline."

"Ok, fine. Schindler's List with alien nazi's in giant robots commiting a holocaust against everyone except the Jews. Anyone got a title?"

"Alien Robot Nazi's From Outer Space?"

    "Too long."

    "Exo Squad?"

    "Sucks. Anyone else?"

    "Anyone?"

"OK, we'll use Exo Squad as a temp until marketing comes up with something better. Good work people."

That was way too long and entirely unfunny. Are you an SNL writer?

    YES!

Exo-Squad was on Boomerang for a few weeks at the very least back in 2004-2005 or so. I watched it every night during the same block that had Pirates of Darkwater. What did they call that? The action block or something?

So it isn't completely forgotten by decision makers. Though it did end up getting replaced with absolutely horrible Herculoids and Thundar stuff. Can't complain too much about Thundar though, because without Thundar and Blackstar, there would have been no He-Man. And with no He-Man, there'd have been no She-Ra. And with no She-Ra, there would have been . . . um, no, ah, uh, something important I'm sure.
