    Hi everyone,

I haven't seen a thread for this, so thought I would start one for all those on the fence about this guy.

Packaging is standard henkei design but in black and white rather than colour. Makes it look kind of "classy", but plain at the same time.

Looks very cool, but you get a bit less of the "invisible" effect in this mode due to the smokey grey sections.

It's in bot mode that this figure really shines.

Part of the fun of this fig is playing with lighting

Overall I love this figure, despite the hefty price tag, and highly recomend him.

Thanks for the pics. If this thing was like the botcon one but different I'd get it. Like if it was the same design as this but blue (ie with the varied shades and the clear white) it would set it apart enough from the single clear blue color of the Botcon one

Thanks for the review and pics, they really help out with my decision. Time to start budgeting a bit more so that I can make this my next purchase. I really wish I had picked up the Botcon version as well.

Nice review. You've inadvertently sold me on the Henkei Mirage. :p

Does anyone have any comparison shots of this and the BotCon one?

:(  But I went through all the trouble of buying an inviso-box for my Classics Mirage...

... and now he doesn't even need it.

Just kidding. Awesome toy, but a bit out of my price range at the moment. I might have to buy this later on, or second-hand.

Yeah, the standard Henkei Mirage is Highly underated IMO.
I don't have the botcon Mirage and would like to see some comparison pics myself.

    Ebay:
What is the price range for this Mirage?
i doubt i can swing it. but it looks great.
i am still pretty smitten by the Classics with the Blue and White- my school colors- so this is a not tooo easy, but a pass nonetheless.

    Thanks for the pics

I love, love, LOVE this figure. Classics Mirage is already one of my favorite molds, and the deco is a-m-a-z-i-n-g: it goes from appearing to be a black and white redeco alt to robot that virtually disappears thanks to his slim proportions and ample clear plastic. The texture is nice too, handling it feels like it's different from the rest of the transformers I have.

The only concern I have upper elbow joints on mine are as tight as hell, almost frighteningly so. I know they're actually cast in white plastic, but it still makes me nervous.
