When I was younger there were two movies that I used to rent from the video shop a LOT. I was young enough to remember the movies by cover rather than title.

Both movies had similar basic ideas.

One was the Japanese movie called 'Attack of the Supermonsters'. Managed to figure that out after some sleauthing.

The other one I need help with.

As far as I remember it was one of those live-action/stop-motion/cell-animation movies that were popular in the 70's and 80's. Probably Japanese origin.

I believe it involved a team of scientists or some such (animated characters) travelling to some island to capture... dinosaurs (the stop motion part).

The rode around in this armored truck/train thing, I seem to remember it had two big wheels. It MIGHT have had a submarine with it. The truck was a live action model, like the dinosaurs.

Does ANYONE know what I'm going on about?

I don't think I could watch that. It looks too disjointed with all the glaring difference in looks and styles (drawn, real, stop-motion)

    Sorry, it was BORNfree.

There was another show after this called Aizenborg (no idea how to spell it) and I remember that better.
