Issue 49 of a UK independant Xbox 360 magazine named X360 (website: Top Xbox 360 Games, Exclusive Gaming News, Reviews, Previews - X360magazine.com) is currently out and it features possibly the best preview section i've seen in quite some time. Scratch that....best i've ever seen :D

Lots of 2-4 page previews with tons of pictures and a crap load of new info on the following:

    Splinter Cell Conviction
    Halo 3: ODST
    Left 4 Dead 2
    COD: Modern Warfare 2 :rock
    Guitar Hero 5
    The Beatles Rock Band
    Max Payne 3
    Aliens vs Predator
    Fifa '10
    Pro Evo 2010
    Colin Mcrae: Dirt 2
    Borderlands
    Lost Planet 2

An insane 6 page in depth interview and feature on Assassin's Creed 2, a 5 page featue of the importance of story telling. And possibly the most scathing review ever of the ROTF (pre-DLC) game. Loads of other shit too like, XBLA reviews, Film reviews etc. Its quite humourous overall and not a chore to read through. You get a DVD free with it too with extra content and the like.

I actually was tempted to type some of it up and post it directly here but there is so much that its damn near impossible to do so without spending forever, so go get the magazine instead. Go!

Then again am I the only one who still reads gaming magazines? :lol

Yes PS3, PC and Xbox 360.

Just to quote a few lines for ya.
"Avp Looks pretty cool at the moment though noticeably incosistant."
"The Predator can also rip off human heads and tear phallic Alien tongues from their faces. This is pleasantly brutual..."
"Still, the section with the Predator was a bit one-note. It uses human voice to call humans out to certain positions then moves in to kill them; we saw that this tactic was used a lot"

Twist your copy is on the way and i'll force you to read it :D

X360 is one kick ass magazine, I got all my Halo Wars info off there but its too expensive, and I'm starting to spawn my new army! (Transformers toys galore)

Maybe i'm out of touch with modern gaming or whatever, but AVP is the only game there i'm interested in.

Plus it'll be a cold day in hell before I willingly play FPS games with a joypad.

Ever since Goldeneye on the N64 FPS games with a joypad i've found very approachable. I find a mouse and keyboard to be too twitchy, mostly down to my lack of practise though.

The AvP preview is a tad negative with lots of problems being noted and lack of polish but as its only a preview those things aren't final :)

Splinter Cell Conviction I feel is worthy of people's time. The presenation and creative ideas described are quite unique. The gameplay videos i've seen so have helped peak my interest in it too.

Hmm. I might pick this up. I normally buy Games TM, but with so many games coming out multiformat mags are getting left behind.

Ah, sweet juciy Borderlands info. :D
Gonna have to pick this up, is it the <£3 well written one? That's the one I used to get on lunchbreaks until the Smiths closed in Kensington, now I always forget about magazines.
