You talking about the Mirage thread? That bit of news was fp'd a month ago, and confirmed by the prequel comics, I'd hardly call that a spoiler by this point.

 

You know people can block movie news, right? For them it's still a spoiler. It doesn't matter if it was FP'd because they wouldn't have seen it.

Though I just realised that from the index his name can't be seen, so unless they come in the movie forum, they can't see it.

 

It's the movie forum, not the DOTM forum. People might still come in here to talk about ROTF or TFTM, pr to find out release dates or what not. They still have the right not to be spoilt if they don't want to be.

 

Good point, and also I see spoilers just about everwhere else, like in toy discussion and whatnot. I actually feel really abd for people who like frequenting TFW but don't want to be spoiled.

 

Yep, it's next to impossible unfortunately. Even Peaugh's review of Voyager Sentinal inadvertantly contained spoilers, even though he said nothing about them. The best thing to do would be to turn off t'internet for a couple of months, but how many of us are ever going to be capable of that?

I'll give you the movie news blocking option, but the fact still remains that Mirage was in a prequel comic that has been officially released, as opposed to leaked. He's as much a spoiler as Shockwave being in the movie is.

 

I don't think anyone's too concerned about characters, even designs since they've been public domain for quite a while now. It's more since Amazon fucked up and let the cat out of the bag on some major plot points that we're concerned about. Some of us are pissed that we know what we know (like myself who found out by accident after avoiding every spoiler bar I saw like the plague) and are quite keen to protect those that don't know from finding out unless they actually want to.
