For me, I have this tendency to piss people off. I don't know why. Not just girls though, I've pissed off guys as well. Everytime I try to get closer to someone, to be a good friend, I just mess up and say something wrong.

I just offended this girl a while ago. She said she was gonna catch The Dark Knight with this guy in the army, so I offered to help get good seats for her man and herself if she wanted. She told me she only wants her 'man' to refer to her dad and I didn't get that, got confused and thought she'd be watching it with her dad, and asked again. That pissed her off, and I got the caps lock treatment.

Damn I feel like shit now.

Wow. Overreaction on her part much?

I don't offend people much, but I do say things that end up sounding silly. It's my specialty. :(

I don't want to think it's overreaction. Went out with her once to catch Ironman. Nice lady. It was a good conversation till that part anyway.

One of my classmates cried when her hamsters died and I chuckled. I'm such an ass sometimes :(

All the time. Especially when I'm drunk. Ask, well, anyone I've talked to. Ever...

I don't understand what you said.

*She said she was going to see Dark Knight with a 'guy'
*You refered to the 'GUY' as 'your man'

I don't understand anything after that. Was she upset that you said something about a guys he was dating?

Yes, but the person who might be doing that at that moment may not be the guy she's dating or the person she's going to the movie with, which can just cause more awkward confusion if you aren't careful.

If she still responds with "I only use that to refer to my dad" call social services.

Weird... When you say 'your man' most people refer to a significant other... And usually referring to someone like that shows a dislike of them. Like girlfriends/boyfriends we don't like we never speak about by name but use nicknames.

But that is weird that she would think you were using a pet name for her dad to refer to him.

"The dude drillin' yah" works pretty well too.

I thought it was when Bees had sex with birds...

Either way, I try to not offend people, but I am pretty sarcastic most of the time so I come off as an ass...

It's not your fault you have her man confused with her date so don't think too much of it. Some people are just easier to offend than others. As long your intention is not malicious it's ok.

Yeah i have the most incredibly sarcastic tone of voie 95% of the time. I speak sarcasm as though it was the essence of english. took the family-in-law a while to start liking me...aka 3 years.
man don't feel bad about that. bitch is obviously nuts.

sometimes my mom tries to make me feel guilty about ridiculous things and i just laugh about it. but yeah, i've more than once said something before i thought it through.

like that time i called my girlfriend "jake" during sex. or that time i jokingly called my female supervisor fat (she actually was).

...one of those two things didn't happen.

Man and here I majored in trying to prove the Caine-Hackman theory. No matter what time it is, 24 hours a day, you can find a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on TV.

But all seriousness, I usually piss off about 64 to 80 people a day. Not all at once. More like 8 to 10 an hour...then I go home and drink.
