I recently bought and watched the energon series.I dont know if its just me but it was kind of a screwqed up story line.Anyway i have a few energon figures such as

optimus prime
megatron
scorponok
very incomplete starscream
the newer mdel of demolisher and the cyb one
sharkticon
constructicon maxumus
insecticon
doomlock the raptor


any others that are essentail from the series in your opnioins?

if you have Constructicon Maximus , you have to get Superion Maximus.

Also you have to get Omega Supreme

 

yeah ive been waiting to see the rerelases of superion and bruticus maxinus i just havent seen them in my area yet

Mirage i had my eye on.Along with Rodimus. I cant find a reasonably priced omega though

 

I love Landmine (Landquake). He's one of my all time favorite Transformers. Wing Saber is essential to make Optimus a better toy. By himself he's crap, but he was designed pretty much colely to make OP cool. You might also like Decepticon Slugslinger; he's a little odd but he'll stand out on your shelf.

If you want to go show-accurate, I'd say have:

If you wish, you can add Superion and Bruticus to each side, but this is pretty much the core cast of characters from the show. Most of those toys are not bad at all, either.

 

I wouldn't bother with any of the deluxe Autobots as they were all pretty horrible. Downshift was the only decent one. I didn't like Mirage and love Slugslinger, but a lot of people feel the opposite so I won't suggest it.

Out of the ones you don't have I'd recommend:
Bruticus Maximus - best of the Energon combiners
Divebomb - The best Terrorcon available
Battle Ravage - great beast mode
Skyblast - love this little guy even though he doesn't have knees.

I don't have Omega Supreme or Landmine, but I hope to get them eventually.

 

I just won an auction on ebay for an omega supreme mib ($83 delivered). I'd seen some loose sets 100% complete sell for around the same price. Also saw another one loose that sold for ~$50 delivered, so that's what appears to be the range. It doesn't appear to come out on ebay that often, but i haven't been checking for that long. But the yamato battleship mode alone makes him worth it.

Omega Supreme by any means. though it will set you back 50+ depending on completeness

 

Many of them are rather weak. If you had only one. Mirage is the best.

 

I cant believe no one mentioned ARCEE!!!

I got: Arcee Divebomb and Omega Supreme... Pretty much the only ones i think are essential...

(and they go rather lovely along with my main collection, Classics-verse.)

Energon Omega and Superlink Wheeljack(much better than Energon Downshift IMO) are my top 2 but there are a lot of good ones.

 

Scorponok, Dreadwing and Shockblast are pretty cool.
