Anybody notice the Autobot version of rumble? And what about that Autobot that looked like Knockout? Also isn't Megatron supposed to be a plane, not a tank. In Prime he's a plane. WFC, FOC and Prime are supposed to take place in the same time line.

 

They can scan vehicles any time they please, I'm sure.

 

The way it looked to me, you were limited to 4 Decepticons: Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave and Starscream. The character selector didn't seem to want to go past or show anything after Starscream. The way the developer was talking about playing as "the icons as the game" leads me to believe the selection is this painfully limited. If that holds true, that's epic fail coming from WFC's escalation character selection. I'd pray that they're not that stupid.

I also didn't like that they call points that you earn "money". There's something not right about calling it cash. We're on Cybertron. Call it points or quatloos or whatever. Don't call it money with a dollar sign.

Now *that* looks much more promising. That video was dullsville compared to these pics.

 

Each map has four different sets of characters.

 

This gameplay is me extremely excited for the game release! I think what is going is that each map has its own specific characters. At least that is how it looks to me.

The graphics are looking awesome as well!

 

Specific characters to specific maps? Well that's a bummer.....  

 

I can't get over Megatron's new bot mode design but his tank mode is gorgeous.

 

Ok, that's pure crap.

Edit: If you're going to do it that way, the *least* you could do is let you cycle through characters with the same attributes/powers. If you're the tank character, you should be able to select Megatron or Brawl. And at that point, you may as well let players bring in created characters with the same attributes/powers.

I think they're missing a big "fun" factor from WFC escalation.

 

This looks amazing! The only things I don't like about it are the four different sets of characters for each map and limited waves but I'm already warming up to the idea.

 

I wouldn't be too surprised if one could unlock bonus characters for completing the game, chapters or even multiplayer modes/levels. I wonder if this is how Ultra Magnus works himself into the game. Female characters could pop up this way too, as Multiplayer characters don't necessarily have to be part of the competitive online multiplayer side of things.

 

Do you actually have a source for this or are you simply assuming it from what you've heard, as personally I reckon the four characters shown in the demo were all they've finished for now and there may be more shown later?

Also, in one of those IGN pics you have Bumblebee and Warpath engaging a Decepticon who looks awfully like a bigger, heavier version of Shockwave - its probably just a piledriver wielding genericon but it reminded me of Lugnut.

Relax. You guys know thats its only a Demo right? That Autobot version of Rumble looks cool. So you press left on the D-Pad to throw grenade. Cool. That is one boss looking tank. It looks like you have to pay for health again. Health is supposed to regenerate in the Campaign and Multiplayer.

So if its only a Demo then the full version will probably have the Combaticons in it. I hope Thundercracker, Skywarp, Barricade, Deadend, Breakdown and all the other guys from WFC are in it.

That Rumble still looks cool! So that means that the Autobots might have deployers of their own.

I hade a weird dream last night. There was a FOC insecticon gameplay. And it had to be a dream!
