Nehustan (RX-93v2_Hi-Nu), MrGreen75 and I made it to wave 69 before the server kicked us all out. It took us about close to 7 hours playing (including some food and washroom breaks in between). We were cruising along until wave 65 and that's when it got weird to say the least. From wave 66 onwards, both MrGreen75 and I couldn't see enemies at all (Nehustan was the host) and it go progressively worse until we all got kicked out. Basically, we got similar glitches and other weird stuff just like what atomicmuffin's team encountered on the PC, but we didn't make it as far as they did to confirm the rest of the glitches. We didn't get a picture of wave 69 but we've managed to get a pic of wave 67 before things got out of hand.

For the most part, it was pretty much a 3 player team effort. Nehustan pretty much carried us for the last two waves as we were blind as a bat, so props to the team!. We had one kid join as Zeta Prime the game around wave 15 or so before he left after a few waves.

Our team lineup and weapon set:

RX-93v2_Hi-Nu -- Air Raid with scrapmaker and photon burst rifle (best PBR user I've come across on the PSN)

MrGreen75 -- Arcee with scrapmaker and magma frag launcher

Myself -- Jazz with scrapmaker and magma frag launcher

    What happened after wave 65:

    - all enemies started to freeze up in animation and kinda glide/moonwalk across the map towards you. It seems like only the enemies appearing inside are affected by this as the enemies outside haven't shown any sort of animation glitches before the server kicked us out at wave 69.

    - Brutes first appeared with no visible backpack weak spot (only the host can hit the weak point)

    - shotgunners, titans, CQC specialists, machine gunners and rocketeers slowly became invisible (again only the host was able to see everything while the rest of us were playing blind and guessing where the enemies would be). What I found is that if you walk out of an area and walk back in or go into another area, the enemies will magically reappear.

    That was nuts.

My intentions from the very beginner were to go at it with only 3 players. I was hoping that this would eliminate glitching or network related crashing but it seems like the TWFC servers can't handle the load. I think we are eternally destined to go through the match blindly beyond wave 65.

It's actually my fault the game froze. I know better than to stop and read messages at this stage but we were able to do it freely during waves 67 & 68 w/out any problems. I stopped to re-invite MrGreen and the game froze when I hit the start button. I regret it... I should have waited until everything had calmed down a little. For this map you do not need 4 people, 3 is sufficient, I would say the same applies in Forsaken, and even District. Pulse, Static, and Remnant all require 4 people to achieve greater wave runs. I am not quite sure why either that's just my opinion based on experience.

I don't know how waver64 got in during waves 22-32 because I had it set to invite only but that's the second day in a row the little guy force-pinged his way into my match. When he joined us yesterday we all crashed in wave 55 in Forsaken. We were doing soooo well until that 4th person showed up and dragged us down... LOL

FTR, MrGreen froze up and had to restart his PS3 during wave 69, LiMiT did one hell of a job firing at whatever I fired to provide cover fire. I am sure we could've done another 6 waves easy. We were in the zone and nothing, save the PS3, could STOP US. LOL

Even though we didn't get past 74, we handicapped ourselves with only 3 players so I'd say its fair to say that we hold the record for most waves by 3 players. I can live with that..

I honestly didn't think the wave was going to be the last because we didn't have excessive or even noticeable lag. That took me by surprise, again..

LiMiT's a friggin beast. He joined us (me and MrGreen) in wave 15 and had no problem catching up with us in kills and points. I was very impressed by his style of play, endurance, and overall support. I think I stated my case firmly for the proper way to beast it with Air Raid. My standard weapon load with any character is a PBS, Scrappy, and Energon Grenades, nothing else is required...

MrGreen won't rest until we best the PC record so this may not be last you've heard from us console gamers.

    =)

First off, congratulations on your achievements so far,

    I have a few questions:

What is the PC record? Why does this game mode crap out on you after a certain number of waves? Was it not designed to go beyond a certain number of waves? (sorry, but I do not own WFC yet)

Thats awesome guys. Really is. Three guys going to wave 69 is really impressive. Honestly, I would have to say that 3 guys, on a console, getting to wave 69 is a bigger achievement than 4 guys, on a PC, getting to 74.

xxLavaxx may have modded us a patch to fix the glitches, but were not sure if it will work since we have not been past 30 since. He explained the glitches as something that happens when the unreal 3 engine is used for a long period time, the textures become "exhausted" or something to that extent, and therefore quit appearing. As far as we know, there really is no way to get past 74 without luck, considering that by the time we hit 71 nothing appeared at all, except for the host could see everything. When the host died, then some things popped up. You try to protect the host, but in reality you dont know if your hitting anything at all since you cant see it.
But we will take up your challenge if you do eventually beat the PC record.
Once agian, congrats on wave 69, it is no simple feat.

P.S. Disappearing shotgunners were always my favorite.

I saw shotgunners and rocketeers just standing besides both of them. It terrified me. LOL

I think I am more impressed with you guys going through so many waves like that handicapped than our achievement. I was the only one with a mic and decided only to use it when I realized they couldn't see anything. Had it not been for your experience I would've been oblivious to what was going on...

So it was the game engine after all. That would explain why we keep freezing up after 7 hours of play. This is why I notice lag and glitching during busy shootouts. The engine isn't able to keep up with us at some point after long use.

I was part of a team that made it to wave 72 in District for the Decepticon map, I have the actual walkthrough finished for that just need to finish the map portion, District is freaking huge.

Team was me using Demolisher teamed up with a group using Skywarp, Slipstream, and Deadend. Not sure how far they made it since I had to leave (it was 2 in the morning and I had to leave for work in three hours lol) but the thing was really glitchy, we killed a Brute but we kept taking damage for the rest of the wave like it was still there, you could hear the hammer hitting us and see the reaction but nothing was there.

That's one heck of an achievement. I did 40 rounds and quit in District because I had errands to run. Our team was not going to die so I had to cut it short since I was the host. We did 55 in Forsaken and the console froze. For some reason we have only been able to push it far when I am hosting but the game engine or networking issues have always kept us from testing our true limits. This is disappointing...

Its really not that hard, you only need to open....three doors I think I counted, but there is a great spot you can camp with awsome cover in District. I was actually getting bored to be honest lol.

Camping can be very boring. This is a problem we have often so we keep energon grenades to toss when someone goes down. In fact, our team usually only keeps energon grenades and uses them for daring situations when it gets boring.

This is why maps like Pulse, Static and Remnant are so fun because there are no camping spots. You do need 4 serious players for those maps.

Remnant does actually have four decent camping spots, but you need specific characters to pull it off. Static and Pulse I've never been able to get a good enough team to do much, people quite whenever they see Static come up lol.

Best camping spot in Static is the Energon Repair Ray room. We've done close to 30 waves there and could've done more but mental errors did us in. Pulse can go one of two ways depending on the players. You do groups of 2 with 2 on each side of the energon station and 2 just above or keep all 4 upstairs. Really, if you have 4 dominating players you can let them roam freely and they'll know what to do and when to do it. We had a solid team in Pulse a few weeks ago but I had to go and shortly after that the team crumbled. You really need 4 dominating players because when one gets the hot hand he will help carry the rest if they're fatigued or having a bad wave.

For pulse, the best game I had was me using Scattershot with the others using Airraid, Silverbolt and Jetfire. I kept firing the nuke while they flew distraction in the middle of the area, it was cool to watch them dance circles around the Decepticons while I peppered away at them. When the Destroyers arrived we activated all the turrets in the main chamber, it was awesome lol.

Still, Broken Hope remains to be the one map everyone wants, and when you dont have that set as your map seven out of ten people leave, its really getting irratating.

I am positive that it's DLC related. A lot of people don't have or want to have the DLC. I experience the same thing in Multiplayer when Havoc or Metropolis shows up.

    Sure there is!

You just have to leave the map to get there. LOL

I love doing that just for fun. We have those runs in Remnant where we all choose seekers and shockwave and fool around outside the map. It's really a lot of fun... you have to be skilled to survive since you can't resupply often in the later waves if you are not Skywarp. Slipstream can't fit through the crack or it would be serious overkill... Thundercracker is my favorite Decepticon for that map. You need serious skill to survive with him.

I've gone outside with Slipsteam before, I used that trick I learned from watching you guys, I flew outside and opened the thousand point door from outside.
