I figured I should make a thread on how to make Blackout's backpack/tail thingy his weapon for those of us who don't know how. So, here's my guide on how to do it, in comic form! Alrighty, here's Blackout. You need to have him in robot mode in order to do this: First, turn him to where his backpack-tail is: on the top of his tail, where the rotors are, press down on the rotor center: Hooray, it's removable! There's a rectangular peg on the backpack that can connect with the rectangular hole on Blackout's back if you want to put the two back together: Now take a look at those two holes here. you can put the backpack on one of Blackout's shoulders through those holes: Put the corresponding hole on the Mini-Con port of Blackout's shoulder (left or right, doesn't matter). Yes, that plug there looks EXACTLY like a Mini-Con port: So just put the hole in the plug, and VOILA! Blackout's got his weapon at the ready!: Back to those Mini-Con ports on Blackout's shoulders. I was intrigued by how he has them, so I put these to the test. CAN THEY HOLD MINI-CONS!?: Yes, yes they can. HOWEVER, there is one disadvantage with the backpack/tail serving as Blackout's weapon. It makes one of his shoulders top-heavy, so he's now prone to falling: Well, that's the end of this guide! And here's a pic for Blackout thanking me:
We need more of these how-to threads. They really are useful. (<not sarcasm) It is, at the bottom next to the steps on how to eject Scorponok and how to combine with deluxe Scorponok. "Ouchies! My nuts!"
Funny and usefiull! the only times I look at the instructions is when I gett really stumped on a transformation, so i don't really get most of the stuff like this. I really wish someone would make one of these on how to fix blackout's automorph. *wink*wing*nudge*nudge*
Yeah, I really have no clue what everyone is talking about when they say his automorph is horrible/broken/doesn't work/etc. Great guide, Eric. I LOL'd. "Oy!" However, this just proves that you NEED to get back to teh funnies. NOW!!!
Its in the instructions - there are two pegs on the underside of Blackout that plug into the two holes on Scorponok's body. Scorponok's gold shaft goes into this black one at the bottom of Blackout. Thus, pushing button for Blackout's rotors also rotates Scorponok's pincers and turbines.
