    Hey all,

So the goal of this project was "equivalent deco". By that I mean, replicating the paint apps and stickers from the original G1 Prime as close as possible onto the Titans Return Prime and illustrating what he could have looked like had Hasbro had more money in him. One of the cool things about TR PMOP is all the little details that were carried over from the original. However, since the mold is an updated version, it's not an exact translation, hence, equivalent.

This was also not a full repaint; there are only a few small changes. As I said, it was to see what a "fully funded" Hasbro PMOP could look like.

    To do this required:
    - soldering iron, screw driver and a narrow pin punch to remove the pins on the crotch/backplate
    - disassembly and spray paint (Tamiya white) of the crotch and chest plate (Tamiya Silver leaf)
    - Gundam silver marker for wheel rims and shins
    - Testors paints for the tiny paint apps
    - 2-layer clear plastic for the new eyes
    - trimmed border of old Reprolabels set for the foil stripe on the cab

For the record, my reference for colors was my re-issue G1 PMOP, which has a yellow crotch plate sticker as opposed to the vintage Red one. I think it matches better anyway.

I ordered the Renderform rifles and they should top this guy off nicely. Hopefully we can see someone provide forearm panels, and I may actually like this more than the Takara one. It's amazing what a few small paint apps can do.

If you guys decide you're not good at painting, I recommend, at the very least, disassembling and spray painting the crotch area. It alone makes a world of difference. I have no idea why Hasbro didn't just cast it in white plastic to begin with.

A little paint goes a long way with this figure. Nicely done!

Finally got my Renderform rifles and some Shapeways arm panels to finish this guy off (Until Perfect Effect releases their kits of course). Makes a huge difference! Now he really wears the name Powermaster well.

Nice. I really hope those rifles, or ones like them, get a mass released 3p version out. I'm surprised PE haven't bundled a pair in with their upcoming kits.
