Which is the best episode animation wise? Worst animated? Best: Mission Accomplished Worst: Total Meltdown I wish they used the animation company that they use for stock footage and the short clips (Mime time, EK jump, Career Day) Hopefully, next season will have better consistent animation.
Best: Transform and Roll out. By far, the Pilot is always better than the rest of the series. Worst: Maybe Sari, No One's Home
Best: Fistful of Energon and Nature Calls Worst: Megatron Rising Part 2, it looks like they used all the budget in Megatron's revival for the two parter and screwed up the second part.
Best animation is Lost and Found. There are lots of really nice animation techniques used in it. The water scenes and the scene where Bulkhead and Blitzwing are looking down at the city come to mind immediately. Worst is probably Rise of the Constructicons. Bulkhead was constantly flying off-model.
Oh yeah that was a good one too, and everytime we got a close-up of the characters they were... extremely detailed, like a top-notch DeviantArt pic.

I find it weird when the faction symbols flux sometimes they do a sort of free-hand style drawn one, and sometimes they change to the normal ones... Yeah Bulkhead's proportions on the show flux.
Diffently tranform and roll out for best worst would be rise of the constructions for giving bumblebee a red decepticon logo
I completely forgot about Velocity. That episode had some real nice animation during the chase scenes.
Sari No One's Home is easily the worst. Better one's include the second two Meltdown episodes, Nature Calls, and Home Sweet Home.

Worst: Not necessarily an episode, but I think the short "Career Day" has had the worst animation by far in Animated. Best: not sure. Been awhile since I sat down and watched all of the episodes. Well Bulkhead is only a wee bit taller then Optimus. It's his bulk that normally would make you think otherwise.
Best: Tie between HIWTSI, Nature calls, and Fistful of Energon. Worst: Megatron Rising P2. A lot of TF&RO was sloppy-ish, too.
I think my favorite so far was "Home is where the Spark is", as that was a good mix of competent consistent animation with a good amount of expressiveness. I can't think of an obvious "worst" as different eps have different types of animation shortcomings. "Rise of the Constructicons" was kinda mushy and inconsistent, but it was above-average in terms of personality and expression IMO. Probably "Megatron Rising Part 2" would be one of the more disappointing, as one expects big battles and season finales to have a little more 'oomph' put into them, but it came out a bit below expectation. (like others' said, it's like the budget was blown on the stunning 'rebuilding' sequence from the preceding ep.)
Banzaitron, Tash stated Blitzwing talks to Bulkhead when actually he is talking to Lugnut while looking down at the city from the blimp.
I think they do these things as the ultimate G1 nod. Im waiting for Prime without a mouth. Bumblepuss' red Decepticon logo is my favorite.
