I dont know why people think optimus will let the kids die its obvious he will save them.

The reason why the kids are in this mess is because the Autobots got so carried away with reviving Cybertron. Thus not paying attention to what's in front of them.

 

The kids should have been in the base with Ratchet.

 

They just left school, no one showed up to take them back to base and when they called Ratchet he blew them off.

They were captured while on their way home/to base.

Again, Ratchet's gonna kick himself.

Finally got to watch it last night. I couldn't believe it when Megatron killed Dreadwing. I was thinking the whole time "Oh, this is gonna be the episode where he switches sides!" I did not see what happened coming.

 

I'm guessing that Dreadwing wasn't someone they wanted in season three and Starscream was.

So his death was more to set up season three's status quo than just killing him off for no reason.

 

Maybe Dreadwing knew how was going to be season 3 and decided suicide was a better option.

 

Unfortunately, that's true. This has been pointed out several times elsewhere.

As anxious and tense as the 'Bot's were about retrieving the keys and reviving Cybertron, that should not have deterred them from their duty as guardians to the three children they've come to care for. And as much as Ratchet grumbles, he does care about them.

As much good as those Jack, Raf and Miko have been for them, it is their job to take care of and protect them.

Now they're paying the price for their lapse in vigilance.

 

Was out of town when this aired, just finished watching a recording.


Wow. The thing that hit me most was that Optimus didn't skip a beat when megatron showed his hand.

Really? Dude, these guys are stone killers. What do you THINK they'd do to the fleshies on a planet that can't support their kind?

 

Makes Sense, also makes perfect sense considering how long we haven't seen them in a long time since the episode with Optimus getting the Star Saber sword.

on the ship. megatron wasn't aware the autobots were so he probably didn't think he'd waste one.

 

Honestly, if you were close to saving your planet and rebuild your entire civilization, would´t you deem three lives as something worth the cost?

 

Here's the thing about that, the writers are doing away with the whole "status quo" thing!
