I think it was the most genuine facial expression of "What the hell" in the history of TV ever. The way he slowly turns his head while raising his eyebrows is beautiful.

My guess is Megatron is beggining to grasp the "Humans Are Warriors" Trope. We have learned more about war in our 500,000 years of existance in our muddy planet than him in all of his eons as decepticon leader.

 

It's not a trope. It's a fact and Capitalizing Each Word doesn't make it any more poignant.

 

In my opinion, This was a good episode. Yes, you can nitpick, but anyone claiming that there was major stuff wrong with it is just trying to legitimize their months of bad expectations. I have seen good things and bad things in this show, but nothing so egregious that would make me want to "quit" on it all together.
I don't think miko was annoying at all. she's always had that comic-book archenemy/revenge worldview of things, and i think this is a good chance for her character to change. The other Autobots reacted fine in their own way as well, especially Wheeljack. The tension with the Insecticons on both sides was really well-played; the only part i might have a problem with in retrospect is the insecticon hive dying by a box of grenades, but they're probably not all dead, and at least a box of grenades makes more sense than what happened in Armada.
Good episode, can't wait for more.

 

I personally love how Wheeljack can place a shot right on a grenade as it flies through the air through a swarm of frenetic Insecticons.

Haha, yeah, I know. When Arcee needs to shoot off a life support cable, she does it perfectly. When she needs to hit something going down a tunnel, and most likely taking up the whole breadth of the tunnel, she misses.

 

I continue to hate this iteration of Wheeljack with a passion. He's so horribly cliched and teaming him up with Miko is just awful.

I'd say 90% of this episode fell flat or annoyed the hell out of me.

I did like the stuff with Knock Out though.

Yeah, just GeeWunners once again wishing they were back in the 80s.

 

This is my favorite Wheeljack ever. I consistently get the "badass" vibe from him and I love it.

As badass as he is he still comes off as bland to me. He shows up, blows shit up, and leaves. A flashback episode featuring some old Wrecker adventures would be nice and add more to his character.

 

Keep that open mind. Many like him, and many dislike him. There's no consensus one way or the other.
