Okay, I'm clearly the minority, but I prefer the Hasbro version :D  Yeah, the one vote for Hasbro it's mine!
I wish they'd lose the orange and most of all that Twin Twist's drills were integrated with his back cannon, but that said, i like their look more than the iMech ones. Moreover, as much as I'd like to have a couple of jumpsturters in my collection, I'm not going to pay 3rd party prices for them.
That said, I hope a lot of people will like and buy the iMech ones, as it looks like it's a promising company!

Can someone post pics of the comparison of the vehicle modes?

I'm wondering if the Hasbro versions would work better if they were colored to be more than just a hint of these G1 figures.

Hasbro has gotten way too comfortable with putting a new head on a robot and calling it a day. And I'm not pleased with them homaging two sets of characters at once. Nobody gives a shit about Ruination. So yeah, this new company wins. Big time.

I voted 3PC, but this isn't really fair.

We're asked to choose between toys made 28 or so years ago and those made a year or two ago. How can a toy made nearly 3 decades ago compete?

As Hasbro WON'T make what I want, 3PC is going to win every time in my book:/

I don't think you understand. Hasbro made the original Jumpstarted in 1985, but then both Hasbro and a 3rd party are making homages to them in the coming year. Those are what are being compared.

My only problem with the Hasbro repaints of the Bruticus limbs is the paint job is not indicative of the characters what so ever, be it comic or original toy.

Wait a second, Ruination is a Jumpstarter? How? In any case, FOC Bruticus/Runiation aren't my cup of team. I wasn't much of a fan of the originals either as they took the fun out of transformation. Still, I have to admit that the 3PC ones look very nice.

I honestly wish Hasbro would just knuckle down and give us honest-to-god original molds for at least SOME of the Wreckers.

Wreck Gar got his own mold. Kup got his own mold. Arcee has been pretty much resurrected as a character, even if she IS Chromia now.

But Springer? Roadbuster? Repaints, sometimes without even the courtesy of a remolded head.

I think we'd event accept a Springer who isn't a triple changer, as long as it was identifiably Springer.

really comparing apples and oranges because aesthetics are so different. MI version is clearly meant to be a more "classics" update while Hasbro has FOC look obviously cuz they are repaints of FOC figures. If I wanted them for my WFC/FOC shelf I'd get Hasbro. If classics then MI. Having said that, I'm more of a classics/MP line guy so I'd go with MI.

Hasbro. I'll take repaints with new heads from an established company over renders from a company that makes iphone covers any day.

3rd party. Actually looking more like the characters they're trying to be instead of being a random redecos with off colors helps.
