I didnt see a thread, but I watched it the other day. God damn, glad I wasnt the one who bought the tickets. I had parts that had humor, not enough to chuckle, but after words, makes you think 'damn, that was stupid.'

    Should'a seen Smokin' Aces :(

I had free tickets from the office, but I preferred not to go.

If it's anything like Date Movie, I am not seeing it. Ever. Stupid humour is great, like Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin and Old School. But when a movie tries to be stupid, then it's terrible.

I just saw a trailer for Epic movie on TV. There was nothing funny in it at all. OUTSTANDING.

IMHO, that's one fo the greatest failings of it. Two of the biggest epics ever (LOTR and King Kong) were left untouched by this, and Star Wars only had a couple cameos. I have to admit...it keeps getting funnier every time I watch parts of it. It's now slightly funnier then Bob Saget-era America's Funniest Home Videos.

Well, if they had let him do the show how he wanted, it would have been funnier....

Blah. Watched it online, and outside of 2 scenes that were a chuckle, it was a boring movie that paradied badly; I nearly fast forwarded a few times.

Unlike funny paradies, like Airplane, this won't be remembered or enjoyed for very long at. If ever.

Well it looks like it was the two UNFUNNY writers of Scary Movie that made this one. I had planned on seeing it but didn't. Guess I'm glad I did.

The best part of the movie at my theatre was the trailers. 'Hot Fuzz' from the creators of 'Shaun of the Dead,' and 'Reno 911: Miami,' plus 'Norbit' and 'Wild Hogs'- two movies with mildly entertaining trailers, though I srtongly suspect that all the funny parts have now been seen.

I'll probably see this in the dollar theater. Movies like this are better when they're rated R. I knew it was going to suck when it was only rated PG-13

Seems like a movie chock full of old and overused 'walk into a wall' and 'object smacks person' gags.
Feeling like their running out of ideas for these type of movies.

like they based the movie on an idea at all. some of these movies are the celluloid equivalent of my senile grandad rambling about the war and laughing to himself.

    dont bring airplane comparison lightly.

airplane creators were serious enough to be able and make a product that was discernible from mel brooks stuff. they were smart enough to turn down the sequel too.

Frankly, stuff like Epic Movie isn't parody. All it is is copying scenes and characters from well-known movies and attempting to make a joke out of it. I can't see how they avoid lawsuits.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It did much more plagiarizing than parodying.
