my dad is pissed about that. thats one of the big promblems with vw they are like takara, they have exclusives for all the cool stuff, but still vw badass
hm i prefer volvos and nissans but between the two i personally (dont flame me please) think that volkswagen is not very good and honda i think is worse so yeah neither for me really
Volkswagen, They own Bugatti and Bugatti makes the Veyron and the Bugatti Veyron is the mast epic car ever!!
volkswagen Honda unfortunately, as they are a stellar brand, is too wrapped up in the Fast and the Furious crowd.... And tend to make very poor cosmetic design choices and backtrack with tweeks to the next model. i.e. The new civics headlights are a huge wtf..... New accord however.... Gorgeous Volkswagen has retained it's coolness..... Have some of the best advertising consistently for 20 years... Offer a wide range of models, and usually offer a performance engine in every model too Performance wise...... eh its a matter of choice unless you want to get into who owns what other company and such...... Or spring for anything with a w-8 or w-12 in it
Seriously though, I dunno about the US but here if you buy VW you're buying something solid. You'll pay for it in comparison to other brands and there isn't as much in a VW but it keeps it's value well it would seem. So it depends on what you want out of the car. If you're looking for good trade in value I'd say VW but I'd suspect Honda cars are more interesting and you get more bang for your buck.
Volkswagens are well built with good materials, but they have shaky reliability like all German cars. Some are good, others like the Beetle and the Eos are just near lemons. But they do make some awesome cars like the Passat R36 and the Touareg R50, both of which aren't sold in the US... Honda doesn't make interesting cars anymore. The Civic and the new Accord are design failures in my book. Not very interesting or pretty to look at. And don't get me started on the Fit. They do have the new NSX coming out, but it's not mid engined anymore and it already looks like it was beaten with an ugly stick. I don't get the hype behind Hondas. Other than the fact that they are cheaper than Volkswagens.
Honda's are great if you want to stick a spoiler on the back and rice it up like a complete tool. Large uni + many "international" students = Honda city + *groan*
I just realised I didnt mention anything about the car. I've had both a Honda (my current ride) and a VW Jetta. I'm happier with the Honda. Less maintenance costs, More gas mileage, Better reliability. It takes regular gas instead of needing premium, and it keeps its value about as well as the VW does. The VW DID have better acceleration at higher gear due to haveing a more powerful engine, but I'm at the point I'd rather have the tradeoff for the cost advantages.
