Mind you it's not on the North American PS Store yet, just Europe and Asia.

Shouldn't be more than a few days before it hits stateside.

I have a Europe and Japanese account :D . I see what Smang, Twist and Boardwise are looking at every Thursday, and then I steal it, when we don't get it.

Japanese account has a Wizardy Demo. Nothing special, and they were supposed to have a Yakuza 3 demo, but I can't find it.

Damnit! I could've downloaded that before I went into work today. I'll be checking this out as soon as possible. Although, what size is the demo?

I've noticed a minor improvement in the textures compared to the first Japanese demo. Gone are the hexagonal wheels that plagued Portable Ops and the first Peace Walker demo. Colours also seem more vibrant than the first demo.

In response to some feedback received by Kojima, soldiers now wear bright orange BDUs (WTF?!) to make them easier to spot in jungle stages.

There's also a zoom in/Xray type of camera control in the cutscenes, which is very reminescent to MGS Digital Graphics Novel.

Voice actors have a slew of familiar names. David Hayter is once again back to voice Snake and Tara Strong, well known for her VA work on Sari in TF Animated, does the voice acting for Paz Ortega, a new character in the franchise. Christopher Randolf, who did the voice of Otacon, is voicing Huey in this game, a character that oddly looks like Otacon in a wheelchair. Perhaps an Emmerich family member?

May 2010 can't come fast enough!!

Yeah, some guy posted a review on NOVA for Iphone, saying that the PSP had been dethroned in graphics by the Iphone, and while games like Resistance still look better, I was beginning to think he was right.... until I played this last night, and changed my mind, heheh

While the iPhone/iPod Touch is an amazing jack-of-all-trades, it's lack of controls makes it an unfair contender in the portable gaming category.

That said, NOVA does looks amazing and I will probably give it a spin... Once I get my iPhone for Xmas :D

Oh, and I love the shaky cam when running around in Portable Ops... Very Gears of Warish :D

I would tend to agree, but games like Rogue Planet and Spider would like to speak to you when you get your Iphone for Xmas.

Spider could not be done on PSP (DS probably), and game like Rogue Planet work very well with touch.

FPS and Action games do run the risk of your finger leaving the touch area, so tactile controls are preferred, but NOVA works really well, except that they should make the shooting like Call of Duty did.

I hope there is 100% custom controls for Peachwalker. FPS on the PSP get a lot of flack, but if folks used the facebuttons for moving (like the keys for movement on a PC) and analog for looking they would play a lot better. I would actually map camera to digital pad, movement to analog, L-shoulder for aim (and a tap to center camera) and the face buttons for attacks and such.

Still, I was getting very used to the face buttons being for camera. It's a unique little scheme.
